TV-Cap: THE WALKING DEAD Cliffhanger Might Be Solved… by Audio!

We’ve made it halfway through the week, but several fans are still talking about The Walking Dead season six finale—for better or worse. Who met the business end of Negan’s Lucille? The audio from the end of the episode might have a clue. Check that out in today’s TV-Cap, along with news about a departure from The Vampire Diaries, the premiere date and a trailer for season three of Salem, and more.

Wait a Minute, Witch. The Vampire Diaries will lose its resident witch after season eight. Kat Graham, a.k.a. Bonnie Bennett, told Us Weekly she’ll be leaving the series after the next season. This follows the departure of Nina Dobrev at the end of season six. Will Bonnie’s departure lead to Elena’s resurrection? Or will they decide not to continue? We’ll have to wait a while to find out. Single, Moving On. Season two of Grace and Frankie will arrive on Netflix on May 6. Based on the trailer, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin both still represent everything I want to be when I grow up. Grace and Frankie are still dealing with the fallout of their ex-husbands marrying each other, but it’s time for new romances and adventures. [Slashfilm]

What Will Happen? iZombie’s second season will wrap with a two-hour finale on Tuesday, April 12, and they have some huge questions to answer: questions about the Chaos Killer, the cure, and the Meat Cute investigation. Series creator Rob Thomas says we’ll get all the answers. We talked to Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright at WonderCon, and they discussed the finale and upcoming guest stars. You can read their comments here at Nerdist.

This Is Wesen-ful. NBC’s Grimm has received a renewal from the network. They’ll return next year with season six. [Variety]

Warning: Speculation/maybe spoilers follow for the The Walking Dead season six finale and that cliffhanger.

Lend Me Your Ears. The finale of The Walking Dead didn’t reveal who Negan took out with Lucille. In the comics, Negan killed Glenn. To get to the bottom of the mystery, YouTuber Federico Trione carefully examined the audio and seems pretty sure it was Glenn who died in the last scene. His evidence is compiled in the above video. What do you think? [Nerdist]

Unfiltered. You can’t stop the sun from shining, and you can’t stop Negan from swearing. The season six Blu-ray release for The Walking Dead will feature a more colorful (and more authentic to the comic book character) version of Negan’s speech. [Nerdist]

Summer Magic. The CW has set premiere dates for a trio of three series that will air during the most scorching time of the year: Penn & Teller: Fool Us will debut on July 11, Whose Line Is It Anyway? will premiere on May 23, and Masters of Illusion will arrive on May 20. [Deadline]

Resurrection. WGN America’s leaning into the curve and debuting season three of Salem during Halloween week this year. A new teaser drops that news and one other bit of information: Mary isn’t dead. I’m sure her resurrection won’t cause any problems at all.

New Powers. Coulson and his team faced a new, fancy sort of Inhuman on Tuesday night’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Read Joseph’s review of “Spacetime.”

What do you think The Vampire Diaries will be like after Graham leaves? Do you think The Walking Dead audio is correct? Talk to me about all the things in the comments.
