TV-Cap: Robbie Amell to Return to THE FLASH, VIKINGS Season 4 Trailer, and More

It seems like the midseason television break just started, but some series are already back—like Supergirl—and others are dropping in. Season 2 of Galavant premiered Sunday, the first episode of The Shannara Chronicles airs tonight, and there’s much more on the way. Read today’s TV-Cap to see a trailer for Season 4 of Vikings, to learn how Robbie Amell’s Ronnie Raymond will return to The Flash, to see Mark Hamill’s character on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, and more.

Pushing Forward. For the most part, Jimmy McGill tries to do the right thing, but it’s an uphill battle. New key art for Season 2 of Better Call Saul captures his internal struggle perfectly. The show returns on February 15. [Image: AMC]

Team Dark Side. Events in The Walking Dead have left the world full of horrible people, and we meet several of them in AMC’s zombie series. Xander Berkeley will be joining their ranks in the back half of the season. He’s taking on the role of Gregory. In the comics, Gregory is the leader of the Hilltop Colony and he’s bad news. TV vs. Film. We recently learned that Netflix is bringing back Daredevil in March, but we might know the exact date now. It hasn’t been confirmed by Marvel or Netflix, but ComicBook.com reports Season 2 of the series will premiere on March 25. That’s also the date Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters. [Nerdist]

Don’t Look Back. History’s Vikings heads back into battle with Season 4 on February 18. A packed trailer for the upcoming episodes has the usual—ships, blood, and family drama. Lagertha is leveling up, Ragnar and Rollo are at odds, and things look positively intense. [TVLine]

Antici…pation. Fox is moving full steam ahead with their adaptation of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. They’ve cast several roles for their remake, including Victoria Justice as Janet, Ryan McCartan as Brad, Staz Nair as Rocky, and Reeve Carney as Riff Raff. Are you looking forward to a remake of the classic? [Nerdist]

More Dragons! There aren’t enough dragons on television. Game of Thrones doesn’t come close to filling the quota. Netflix’s Dragons: Race to the Edge (featuring characters from How to Train Your Dragon) is here to help. All 13 episodes of Season 2 of the animated series drop on January 8. The above clip from next seasons will give you an idea about what to expect from Race to the Edge; it shows Hiccup and Toothless fighting a Skrill.

A Dream Team? Two comedic giants are teaming up for an animated pilot for FX. Louis C.K. and Albert Brooks are co-creating, writing, executive producing, and providing voices for an untitled half-hour project. No other details have been released, so we look forward to learning more. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Back with a Twist. The presence of Earth 2 has opened the door to possibilities on The Flash, including that of the return of certain deceased characters. The alternate universe will be used to resurrect Ronnie Raymond later this season, but not the Ronnie Raymond you know and love. Robbie Amell will return as the character, but the Earth 2 version of Ronnie will be  Deathstorm rather than Firestorm. [Nerdist]

Typecasting. Mark Hamill is joining the cast of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, and he’s playing a bad guy. When he shared the concept art for Kavaxas, the Demodragon of the Underworld on Twitter, he teased it was #villaintypecasting. After all, he’s played The Joker and Trickster on Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and a number of other series. The reptilian character looks like quite the force to be reckoned with. [Comic Book Resources]

Nail in the Coffin? Yahoo Screen is a thing of the past. Yahoo has shut down its streaming video service, which I only ever heard of in the first place when it picked up a sixth season of Community. Given that the comedy doesn’t have a home any longer, it doesn’t seem likely that we’ll get any more seasons. Maybe the movie could still happen? I’m hoping. [Slashfilm]
