TV-Cap: See GAME OF THRONES Season 6 Premiere Photos

I know where most of you will be Sunday night and what you’ll be doing. The season six premiere of Game of Thrones will air on April 24, and I’m assuming the vast majority of us will be glued to our TV screens. See photos from the Game of Thrones premiere, learn about some real fake spoilers from the cast, get the latest on American Gods, find out about the Superman prequel show Krypton, and more in today’s TV-Cap.

What’s Ahead. Since Sunday is still two days away, you might need a Westerosi fix right about now. We have you covered with pictures from the Game of Thrones season six premiere. They include Arya, Sansa and Theon, the Martells, and more. See more pictures from the premiere and read our observations about them here at Nerdist. Share your thoughts about the images with me in the comments! [Images: HBO]

No Surprise Here. HBO has announced some renewals that aren’t exactly unexpected. Game of Thrones will return for season seven, Veep will be back for season six, and Silicon Valley gets a fourth season. [Deadline]

So Many (Non)Spoilers. Our very own Alicia Lutes talked to several Game of Thrones cast members at the red carpet premiere for season six and got some sweet, sweet fake spoilers about what’s ahead. Don’t believe me? Watch the above video. [Nerdist]

Ready to Work. TBS’s Angie Tribeca put in some long hours in its first season to put the serious criminals away, and the very intense drama will be back on the case with season two soon. New episodes of Angie Tribeca will debut on June 6, and Rashida Jones will be joined by all sorts of amazing guest stars including Alfred Molina, Kevin Pollak, and more.

Raking in Dough. The web series Whatever, Linda, a dark comedy about four secretaries in 1978 who come up with a lucrative Ponzi scheme, is being adapted as a half-hour series for television. Orphan Black co-creator Graeme Manson is on board as an executive producer. [Deadline]

It’s Happening! Production has officially begun in Toronto on Starz’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. Can you believe it? On top of kicking off shooting, the series has added some cast members too. Cloris Leachman will play Zorya Vechernyaya, Peter Stormare will play Czernobog, Chris Obi will play Anubis, and Mousa Kraish will play the Jinn. Pinch me, I’m dreaming. [Images: Starz]

No Weakness Here. Syfy has been working with David Goyer on developing a series about Superman called Krypton. It’s a prequel that would focus on Superman’s grandfather, and is set way before Krypton explodes. And apparently, it’s inching closer towards becoming a series. Syfy has placed an official pilot order, and the project has a new showrunner and director. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more. [Slashfilm]

That’s Not Creepy. Wayward Pines will be back on Fox for season two this summer, and a new promotional poster is unsettling. It shows a baby holding the hand of an Abberation. Quite the weird contrast, no? Does this mean humans and Abberations will be working together more closely? Or are they kidnapping kids? We’ll start to unravel the mystery when the show comes back on May 25. [Comic Book Resources, Image: Fox]

Nygma Speaks. Cory Michael Smith plays Edward Nygma, a.k.a. the Riddler, in Fox’s Gotham. He stopped by the set of Nerdist News to talk with Dan Casey about the character and what’s coming in the remainder of season two of Gotham. [Nerdist]

Documentary World. IFC’s Documentary Now! will return this fall with season two (there will be seven episodes), and some details were revealed at an upfront event on Thursday. The comedy tips its hat to the world of documentaries, and three episodes next season are inspired by the following: “The War Room,” “Jiro Dreams of Sushi.” and “Salesman.” [Image: IFC]

Go Back in Time. Did you watch Thursday night television? We’re here to help you remember every little detail with our recaps of the most recent episodes of Legends of Tomorrow (baby Snart!), Vikings, and The 100.

Will you be watching Game of Thrones this weekend? Tell me your predictions for season six in the comments.
