TV-Cap: SAVED BY THE BELL Reunion, Shout! Factory Offers Streaming, Another Inhuman Joins SHIELD, & More

Did you know today was Friday? Good news: It is! Can we take a moment to appreciate how wonderful Jimmy Fallon taking The Tonight Show to Los Angeles for a week has been for all our childhoods? First, there was The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air parody cold open and then he visited Bayside High School. Ahh, those were the days. I’m going to keep reminiscing while you scroll down to read about The Tonight Show’s Saved By the Bell reunion, a new Inhuman addition to Agents of SHIELD, and Shout! Factory’s new streaming service.

Streaming the Classics. Shout! Factory is taking a step into the future by focusing on the past. The company best known for producing DVD sets of classic series has just launched its very own streaming channel with series such as Stagecoach (I can stream Stagecoach – we live in high times, friends), Dennis The Menace, Mystery Science Theater 3000, and more. And guess what? It’s free! Amazing. [Vulture]

Getting Intergalactic. Disney launched a brand new animated series today. Miles from Tomorrowland follows adventurer Miles Callisto and his family’s voyages through space as they work with the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. The series features the voices of Olivia Munn, Mark Hamill, Wil Wheaton, Bill Nye, Alton Brown, and more. Some of the cast spoke to ABC News about the series, and Kristen Rutherford interviewed the series creator Sascha Paladino right here on Nerdist.

Peek-a-Boo. The most recent episode of The Flash laid down plenty of groundwork for Firestorm happenings (again, we live in happy times) and introduced a new metahuman. Related: Who is feeding and caring for all the metahumans imprisoned at STAR Labs? I need to know. Anyway, read Joseph’s review of “Crazy For You.”

The Dog Ate All My Homework. Take a trip back to the early ’90s with Jimmy Fallon as he reunites five cast members from Saved By the Bell on The Tonight Show. While I’m flailing in general over this bit, I’m mostly amazed at how the cast doesn’t look that much older even though it’s been over 20 years. Maybe there’s some kind of sorcery tied to using giant car phones. [Nerdist]

Dance Moves and Spray Paint. Baz Luhrmann’s first television series is coming to Netflix. The Get Down is set in New York City in the 1970s and focuses on a group of teens in the South Bronx who have only each other, spray cans, and dance. Would you expect anything other than a musical drama from Luhrmann? [TV Insider]

Here, Have Another Inhuman. After dancing around the true identity of Skye for what felt like forever, Agents of SHIELD is embracing Inhumans. They’ve revealed Skye’s Inhuman roots, and now they’re adding another such being to the series. Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People) will play Lincoln, “a charismatic Inhuman who has an important role to play in Skye understanding the true extent of her transformation.” [Marvel]

Most Dysfunctional Family Ever. The Mikaelsons should win every award out there for being the most dramatic, screwed up family on all of television. In the most recent episode of The Originals, it seems like the long lost Mikaelson sister Freya has returned. But this is a tricksy family. A clip from the upcoming episode on Monday shows Klaus and Elijah reacting to the revival. [TV Fanatic]

They’re Baaaack. NBC’s apparently in a mood. They’ve granted early renewals for five series for next season including The Blacklist (no surprise there), Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Law & Order: SVU, and Grimm. Notice that Constantine is not on the list. It doesn’t mean all is said and done for Hellblazers, but it’s not exactly reassuring. [Entertainment Weekly]

If you could date any character on Saved By the Bell, who would it be? Tell me in the comments. Me? I was always a Zack Morris kind of girl.
