TV-Cap: New GAME OF THRONES Trailer, SUPERGIRL Renewed, and More

You know why this Wednesday is this best Wednesday? Because we have the first official trailer (not teaser) for season six of Game of Thrones. Keep reading TV-Cap to watch that trailer, to get news about Supergirl, to see Punisher’s full costume in Daredevil, and more.

Choosing Violence. Oh. My. Stars. HBO has released the first full trailer for the next season of Game of Thrones, and it is packed with images that require tearing apart. Yes, they require it. Did you see the Night’s King? And a resurrected Clegane? And a crying Melisandre? What. If you want to take a closer look with Alicia, hop right on over here. Why is April 24 so far away?

A Different Sort of Injury. The 100’s Lindsey Morgan (Raven) will appear in a guest starring role in season three of The Night Shift, and will put some of her practice playing injured to good use. Morgan will play Kryztal, a “high-strung bride” (read: Bridezilla) who gets hurt on her wedding day. [TVLine]

More Barons and Blades. If you’re a fan of AMC’s Into the Badlands, take a celebratory drink, because it’s been renewed. The cable network will bring the drama back for a 10-episode second season in 2017. Given the high ratings Into the Badlands delivered, it’s no wonder they’ve opted to do more. [Variety]

All the Costumes. Season one of Daredevil left the big costume reveal for pretty much the very last minute. They’re going another route for season two, and showing Punisher and Elektra in their full ensembles now. We don’t know when the outfits will appear in the series, but at least we’ll know what they look like before the 13th episode. [Nerdist, Image: Netflix]

The Adventures Continue. It’s happening! We’re getting more Supergirl! CBS is planning to renew the adventures of Kara Danvers for a second season. I know ratings haven’t been stellar, but I’m glad they’re sticking with it—we need a female-led comic book series on TV, and Supergirl is getting better by the week. [Comic Book Resources]

She’s a Peach. Orphan Black will have a particularly awesome guest star in the fourth season: Peaches! The artist announced the news on Facebook along with the above picture. It’s all about the hands. It looks like Peaches and Tatiana Maslany’s Sarah, are in a club of some kind… and we’d expect nothing less. [Nerdist, Image: Peaches]

You Know Those Voices. Fitz and Simmons are hopping from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Disney XD’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six. Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge are providing the voices for their characters from S.H.I.E.L.D., and the smartypants duo try to help Spider-Man find a mole within the S.H.I.EL.D. Academy. They’ll appear in the March 13 episode. [Comic Book Resources]

Developing Zero Matter. Season two of Agent Carter featured a lot of a substance called Zero Matter. The black, blobby material looked to have a life of its own, and I found myself shrinking away from the screen anytime it was loose. It required quite the investment of time on the visual effects side, and you can see Wired explore what visual effects company Double Negative did in the above video. [Nerdist]

What are your thoughts on the new Game of Thrones trailer? I know you have them! Let me know in the comments.
