TV-Cap: New DAREDEVIL TV Spots, David Duchovny On THE X-FILES Return, & More

Today is a day for all the videos. Grab your cup of coffee and your headphones because you’re going to need to take a few minutes to watch everything. Today’s roundup includes a musical recap of Game of Thrones Season 2, new Daredevil TV spots, a trailer for the final episodes of Gotham Season 1, David Duchovny talking about The X-Files return, and more. Let’s go ahead and get to it!

“It’s a Strange Phenomenon.” David Duchovny stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman and though he was there to promote his new album Hell or Highwater, Letterman of course asked him about the return of The X-Files. Duchovny talked about it being “a strange phenomenon” that people still want to see these characters and mentioned how grateful he is to be returning to the role. He also confirmed that Mitch Pileggi will be back and so will the Cigarette-Smoking Man. [Deadline]

Music in Westeros. As we get ever closer to the premiere of Season 5 of Game of Thrones (only 10 more days, everyone!), it’s a good time to look back. The Sex Pistols’ Steve Jones has a catchy song that sums up the entire second season, and you can jam to “Game of Jones” right here at Nerdist.

Man Without Fear on TV. Marvel is pulling out all the stops to promote Daredevil. The Netflix original has two new TV spots that are making me even more excited about binging the television series as soon as I can. One TV spot focuses on Matt Murdock’s gifts, and the other shows just how much trouble Fisk is having with this masked vigilante. [CBR]

Not a Smile to Be Seen. Gotham returns with its final four episodes on Monday, April 6, and the streets of Gotham City are looking as rough as ever. There’s not a happy moment to be seen in the trailer promoting the end of Season 1, but you can spot Milo Ventimiglia as The Ogre and lots of trouble for Oswald Cobblepot. [/Film]

Grodd. You haven’t had enough of trailers for comic book television, right? Good because a look ahead for The Flash will have you on the edge of your seat. There’s the Reverse Flash mystery, Eddie shooting people, and oh yeah, Grodd. But hey, at least there’s also levity. I really want to be best friends with Cisco. [CBR]

Behind the Scenes. Peel back the layers of Community in a new behind-the-scenes video from Yahoo that takes you into the writers’ minds. Clay Lapari and Alex Rubens talk about working in the writers room and finding the right jokes and actions for the characters without making things too cartoon-y. [Hitfix]

Morning News Comedy. Katie Couric and Michelle Pfeiffer have teamed up to pitch a comedy about what happens off camera on a fictional morning news show. Pfeiffer would star as the news anchor, and Couric is on board as executive producer. It’s no Troy and Abed in the Morning and not a completely original concept, but there could be something there–especially given Couric’s experience. [Variety]

The Blacklist - Season 2

Damn It, Liz. We’ve recently learned that despite all the awful crap Tom Keen did to Liz, he loves her. He’s back in her life now, and pictures from tonight’s The Blacklist, “Vanessa Cruz,” show Liz being awfully friendly with him. Of course, she’s so screwed up that I shouldn’t be surprised. [TVLine]
