TV-Cap: New AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW Teaser, THE FLASH is a Fave, and Some ORPHAN BLACK Cuteness

It’s a fascinating time to be a TV fan, isn’t it, Internet folks? With so much in the world changing and evolving it’s no surprise that similar happenings are occurring on the people’s medium — the small screen. And what does this mean for our beloved daily TV-Cap? That there are stories out there that you need to see, and we’ve got ’em right here, right now — just for you. So without further ado let’s get to steppin’, alright? This dang post ain’t going to read itself, after all.

We Just Peed a Little: Is there anything scarier than creepy child whispers? How’s about the swift disappearance of said child after whispers of “there’s nothing there” are uttered, eh? Creeped out a little bit yet? Goddamn you, Ryan Murphy: what is your mind like? Between the Glee and the American Horror Story, we’re not sure we’d ever endeavor to find out. In two words? Dementedly UNSETTLING!
Key & Peele Battle Aliens, Racism: These two! Just the best. As is this hilarious new sketch from season four. Click click click click click PLEASE: [Nerdist]

The Numbers are In!: And, um, it’s not looking so good, we’re sad to say. Early numbers for the batch of newbies to debut — Red Band Society and The Mysteries of Laura — show soft debuts all around. Uh oh. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Anybody Need a Babysitter?: Because I would babysit the shit out of the Saturday Night Live kids should the women involved ever need a last-minute helper. Kids like me because I’m very immature and can throw a mean tantrum just like them. It’s great!

More Gotham for the Pop-ham: Hey, at least we tried. But if you click this link here at the end of this sentence you’ll be given the opportunity to check out a new clip from Gotham so GET ON THAT ALREADY: [Nerdist]

Laverne Cox is Special: I mean we all knew this, though, right? The trans pioneer and awesomely badass lady is set to get her own docu-special on MTV and LOGO titled Laverne Cox Presents: The T Word. Think of MTV what you will but there’s no denying their ability to hone in on the zeitgeist-y social topics affecting our youth and culture today and discussing them at length. No doubt this will be a good one, slated to air on October 17th. [The Huffington Post]

Cute Orphan Black Stuff Alert: Is there anyone more endearingly charming than Orphan Black star Jordan Gavaris? We’re not entirely sure. This video itself is exhibit A:

Pop! Goes the Network: Remember when the TV Guide Channel was just the way to see what was on TV where and when? Yeah well those days are long gone, and apparently so are the last remaining vestiges of its association with the website and magazine of the same name. Instead, CBS and Lionsgate are rebranding TGVN as POP!, a fandom-obsessed network. No word on whether or not the executives totally understand what that means outside of it being super buzzword-y and timely because nerd stuff. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Not a Flash in the Pan: No one can seem to get enough of The CW’s latest superhero drama, can they? The Flash has charmed fans and critics alike and has landed atop of the heap of the fall’s best new dramas according to Yahoo! TV — followed closely behind by Showtime’s The Affair which looks very promising and not just because dreamboat of all dreamboats, Joshua “Pacey” Jackson is in it. But don’t just take our word for it, there’s a handy pie chart and everything! Who doesn’t love pie and also charts, right? [Yahoo!]

So — what new series are you most looking forward to watching? It’s The Flash, isn’t it? Let us know in the comments.
