We’re well into December, and shows are broadcasting their midseason finales. But don’t despair! New episodes of other shows are swooping in to fill the gap—shows like Agent Carter. Nothing Lost. Joe Hill’s NOS4A2 (pronounced Nosferatu) is in development at AMC. The supernatural novel is about Victoria McQueen, a woman who has a knack for finding the lost and who runs into a man who takes souls to keep himself youthful forever. AMC is currently looking for a writer for the adaptation. [Nerdist]

Ugh, Avocados. If you had any concerns about Jarvis enjoying Los Angeles, you can stop worrying. A clip from Season 2 of Agent Carter shows Jarvis is about as disdainful of avocados, dry heat, and traffic as you would imagine. My goodness, it’s delightful to see him and Peggy interacting again. I’m so looking forward to the return of this series on January 19. [iTunes TV]
Darkness, Visions, Business As Usual. Supernatural’s midseason finale airs tonight (December 9), and the Winchesters are facing off against a completely grown up Amara. She’s been ingesting a lot of souls, apparently. We caught up with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki on set while they were filming this episode, and they shared some teases. Crossing Off More Names. NBC’s The Blacklist has been given the greenlight for Season 4. Series creator Jon Bokenkamp told The Blacklist: Exposed podcast the news, saying, “We knew about that a while ago, it’s one of those things that’s hard to keep quiet. But yes, we’re renewed through the fourth season.” We all benefit from more of James Spader as Red Reddington. [Variety]
Hawk Logo. The CW’s upcoming Legends of Tomorrow is uniting basically everyone (I’m only slightly exaggerating) in the battle against Vandal Savage. The Time of ABC’s Life. What does network TV need? More musical adaptations! I’m not kidding because I usually like them. ABC’s jumping on the boat with a lyrical twist on Dirty Dancing. They’ll air it as a TV movie with none other than Abigail Breslin in the lead role of Baby. I wonder if they’ll keep the songs from the original film or update them to more modern options. Frak Me, Funko. Dear Funko: Why do you want to take all my money? Can you please stop releasing the most adorable toys? No, I’m kidding. Don’t stop while you’re on a roll. Not In Kansas Anymore. With Zelena banished back to Oz, it’s likely only a matter of time before Once Upon a Time ends up dipping back into the far away land. When they do get there in the back half of Season 5, Dorothy will show up. She’s no longer a teen; she’ll be in her late 20s to early 30s and she’ll be a warrior. Heck. Yes. Settling Unsettling Territory. Spike is going to space. No, not the vampire. Spike the network. They’ve placed a 10-episode order for an adaptation of the Mars novels by Kim Stanley Robinson. Red Mars will be written and executive produced by J. Michael Straczynski. They’re not wasting any time getting started; production will begin in summer 2016. The story? It follows the first settlers of Mars, who are there to terraform the planet. [Slashfilm]
