TV-Cap: MARVEL’S MOST WANTED Details, an ARROW Wedding, and More

Newly released from Arrow is a wedding photo that raises one important question: Could some kind of permanent happiness actually come to Oliver and Felicity? The pair has made it this far, but he’s been keeping a rather big secret from her. Keep reading today’s TV-Cap to see the full Arrow wedding photo, to learn about the premise of Marvel’s Most Wanted, to look back at 100 episodes of Once Upon a Time, to find out about the status of a Punisher-centric Netflix series, and more.

Sort of an Answer. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher hasn’t even made his Daredevil debut and fans are already pumped to see what Frank Castle brings to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That excitement has fueled rumors about Punisher starring in his own spinoff series, and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb has addressed those rumors. He told Digital Spy, “I think [the Punisher is] something that people are speculating on, as opposed to something that’s actually happening. It’s certainly our hope that any of our characters will be embraced and that people want to see more of them.” It’s one of those noncommittal answers that totally leaves the door open—and that’s how we put an optimistic spin on it, kids. Quite the Journey. We’re headed into the middle of season five of ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and that means we’re almost at the 100 episode milestone. The fairy tale series has introduced so many villains and heroes over the years it’s hard to remember them all without a cheat sheet. Before the show comes back on March 6, ABC will jog your memory with a trip into the past and with some peeks into the future (Hades!).

From the Past. Starz has cast Ash’s high school sweetheart in Ash vs. Evil Dead. She’ll be played by Michelle Hurd in season two. [Deadline]

Speedster to Boss. Teddy Sears may be zooming out of The Flash after this season because he’s landed a role in 24: Legacy pilot. Sears is slated to play Keith Mullins, the boss of the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU). [TVLine]

A Flair for the Dramatic. Don’t blink or you’ll miss the latest 15 second teaser for Marvel’s Daredevil. It puts the spotlight on Frank Castle as he makes a theatrical sort of entrance. Is it March 18 yet? I’m so ready for season two. [Nerdist]

But Should It? The limited revival of The X-Files may not be so limited. Series creator Chris Carter told The New York Times, “I can tell you, almost without a doubt, we will come back.” Despite the show’s high ratings, however, feedback from fans and critics didn’t seem stellar. Just because it can come back doesn’t mean it should. What do you think? Do you want more X-Files or was one reboot enough? [Nerdist]

Tying the Knot? Could it be? Could Oliver and Felicity actually be getting married on Arrow? It’s not the outcome I pictured—especially not when you consider how Ollie lied to her about William. This seems too good to be true. Maybe it’s a dream. Darn you, Marc Guggenheim. Why must you play with our hearts? [Image: Marc Guggenheim, The CW]

On the Run. It’s time to learn more about ABC’s Marvel’s Most Wanted besides the fact that it will star Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter, a.k.a. S.H.I.E.L.D.’s coolest characters. The duo will apparently be on the run in the series with “a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their head.” Read the complete synopsis here at Nerdist.

Office Ranks. The everyday folks responsible for handling insurance claims in a world of destruction caused by superheroes and super villains will take center stage in NBC’s comedy Powerless. Two more fantastic names have been added to the cast roster: Danny Pudi will play Teddy, Emily’s (Vanessa Hudgens) best friend and co-worker at the insurance company, and Alan Tudyk will play Del, Emily’s boss. Sound and Fury. It looks as though Silver Banshee won’t be the only villain in The Flash/Supergirl crossover. Photos snapped on set show Livewire is back int the picture. Two heroes, two villains—makes total sense. [Comic Book Resources, Image: DCnaTV]

Sharks and Music. Tuesday night comic book television did not disappoint. The Flash focused on the utterly fantastic metahuman King Shark, and Agent Carter featured some intense moments for Jarvis along with a dazzling music number. Read Joseph’s thoughts on “King Shark” and my recap of the Agent Carter two-parter.

Do you think everything is as it appears to be in the wedding photo from Arrow? Tell me your thoughts on that and everything else in the comments.
