TV-Cap: HEROES REBORN Character Portraits, James D’Arcy and Enver Gjokaj Back for AGENT CARTER Season 2, & More

Time marches on even when you’re not paying attention. I know this, yet I keep being surprised that we’re getting closer and closer to fall premieres. We’re only a few months away from said premieres, and casting news is rolling in.

Read today’s TV-Cap to learn about new faces on Minority Report and Outlander, to find out about returning characters on Agent Carter, and more.

Forget What You Know. Hints about Heroes Reborn are trickling out ahead of the NBC series’ panel at Comic-Con, and the latest tidbits are character motion posters/gifs. They highlight Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman), Malina (Danika Yarosh), Molly (Francesca Eastwood), and Carlos (Ryan Guzman). What do you think they mean? [Comic Book Resources]

Twinsies. The precog twins of Minority Report aren’t going to be identical. Stark Sands was already cast as Dash, but Dash’s twin Arthur will now be played by Nick Zano. Since Sands was supposed to play both twins, it means the sci-fi series will have to re-shoot at least parts of the pilot. Minority Report will premiere on September 21. [/Film]

The Game of Clones. Monopoly makes special themed editions for what seems like every franchise ever, but they haven’t yet got around to Orphan Black. Laura Bodman solved that problem with her own two hands and made a clone version of Monopoly called Cloneopoly. It is beautiful. See more photos of this tremendous board game here at Nerdist.

Creepypasta. Anthology series seem to be quite popular these days, and Syfy and Universal Cable Productions are joining forces for a horror one from Max Landis and Nick Antosca. Channel Zero will change it up to focus on a new story each season with Season 1 building upon Kris Straub’s Candle Cove. Universal Cable Prods Executive Vice President of Development Dawn Olmstead explains, “Channel Zero: Candle Cove is a season long imaginative and chilling horror anthology. With its first story deriving from the cult favorite creepypasta, and the visionary minds of Landis and Antosca, it is elevated horror at its best. I’m still haunted by the first episode. It’s a chilling immersive ride.” (If, like me, you aren’t familiar with the phrase “creepypasta,” educate yourself.) [Deadline]

They’re Back! One of many reasons why Agent Carter was a smashing success was because of Peggy’s pals. Edwin Jarvis and Daniel Sousa in particular were wonderful, and thankfully, both James D’Arcy and Enver Gjokaj will reprise the roles for Season 2 as series regulars. There was some uncertainty since Peggy (Hayley Atwell) is picking up and moving to Los Angeles for the second season. I hope they’re going with her. [Comic Book Resources, gif via Fan Pop]

Another Player? At least one fresh face will be introduced in Season 4 of House of Cards. Neve Campbell has joined the Netflix original as a series regular. Nothing has been revealed about her role just yet, and I’m looking forward to seeing how she fits into the world of Frank and Claire Underwood. [Deadline]

We Got This. Are you already in line to catch the Doctor Who panel in Hall H at comic-Con this year? The Thursday panel is exciting because it marks Peter Capaldi’s first visit to the fan event, and the Q&A with Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, Michelle Gomez, Steven Moffat, and Brian Minchin will be moderated by none other than Chris Hardwick! Geronimo! [Nerdist]

Mother Superior. Another cast member has been announced for Season 2 of Outlander: Mother Hildegarde. The Mother Superior of Paris L’Hopital will be played by Frances De La Tour (Madame Maxime in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). The character plays an interesting role in the books by Diana Gabaldon, and I think De La Tour is an excellent choice. What do you think, Outlanders? [TVLine]

Deadly Trio. One more casting thing, guys. The Vampire Diaries took a hit in Season 6 with the departure of Nina Dobrev, but they might be filling the Elena Gilbert void with new characters. TVLine reports the series is casting for three new vampires: a couple named Nora and Mary Louise and Valerie. [TV Fanatic]

A Good Tease. As we saw with the Clone Club-themed Monopoly board above, fans make cool stuff. That’s one of the understatements of forever. I love seeing people pour their enthusiasm for a given franchise into creating, and YouTuber avemagnadude has done just that with a brief Samurai Jack tribute. The series from Genndy Tartakovsky was cancelled abruptly, and though this fan creation doesn’t necessarily offer any closure, it sure is pretty. [Nerdist]

What do you think about D’Arcy and Gjokaj being part of Season 2 of Agent Carter? Share all your excited feelings with me in the comments!
