TV-Cap: GAME OF THRONES Photos and More GILMORE GIRLS Returning Cast Members

One of the biggest challenges of the week has been keeping up with who exactly is coming back for Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival. New names have been added to the list practically every day. Today’s TV-Cap has word on the return of two important men in Rory’s life, news about a LEGO Star Wars series coming to Disney XD, the first batch of photos from season six of Game of Thrones, a trailer and premiere date for season two of Outlander, a creepy The Walking Dead photo, and more.

Finals Are the Worst. Even superheroes have to go to class and take exams in DC Super Hero Girls. A new clip shows Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn abandoning their studies to save the day. The cartoon will debut this spring on Boomerang. [Comic Book Resources]

New Schedule. The CW has a couple more shows to fit into their schedule as spring approaches. They’ve announced Containment will take iZombie’s slot on Tuesdays at 9pm after that show’s season two finale airs. Reign will be back with the rest of its third season on Monday, April 25. It will take Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s place. [Variety]

A Likely Adaptation. Sky Arts, a British network, has placed an order to adapt some of Neil Gaiman’s short stories in a four part anthology called Neil Gaiman’s Likely Stories. Gaiman has quite the portfolio of intriguing shorts, so I’m happy they’ll be getting attention. No premiere date or news on U.S. distribution has been announced for the show. [Nerdist]

More Awkward Situations. Aziz Ansari’s Master of None has received a renewal for season two. As the tweet says, it will premiere in 2017. [Aziz Ansari]

Not Taking Shit. In this teaser for season three of HBO’s Silicon Valley, Hendricks tries to make a stand… the key word being “tries.” The third season will premiere on April 24. [Nerdist]

Getting Spoiled. Spring is coming and so is the premiere of Game of Thrones’ sixth season. HBO has kept the dragons (dragons = fans) at bay by releasing 20 stills from the upcoming season; the stills feature Arya, Max von Sydow’s Three-Eyed Raven, Jaime, and much more. Only on Hulu. If you want to catch up on the time-traveling twists of Syfy’s 12 Monkeys, you can now turn to Hulu. The streaming service announced Thursday they’ll be the exclusive home of the series as of February 24. That gives you plenty of time to catch up before season two of the sci-fi show arrives on April 18.

Talking Nerd Stuff. AMC is teaming up with Kevin Smith for another series. Smith and Greg Grunberg will host a talk show about pop culture with interviews, commentary, etc. Called Geeking Out (working title), the half-hour show has a nine episode order and will kick off with an episode about San Diego Comic-Con in July. Hello, France. I have all the Outlander updates for you. Ready? Season two of the drama based on books by Diana Gabaldon is set to drop on Starz on April 9. Yay! Starz has released key art—can I have the red dress, please?—and a trailer to accompany the news about the premiere date. Jamie and Claire are in France, trying to change history by stopping the Jacobite uprising. It’s a completely different world. [Nerdist, Image: Starz]

A Scavenger Family. There’s a new Star Wars animated series on the way. LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures is headed to Disney XD this summer. The cartoon centers on the Freemakers, “a family of scavengers who build and sell starships from the scoured debris of space battles strewn throughout the galaxy.” They realize their youngest has a connection to the Force, and the family gets swept into the fight against the Empire. Visiting Stars Hollow. Here’s the latest on who is making a visit to the world of Stars Hollow in the upcoming return of the Gilmore Girls: Jared Padalecki will reprise the role of Dean Forester, David Sutcliffe will be back as Christopher, Danny Strong will revive the character of Doyle (I hope he and Paris are married), Emily Kuroda will be back as Mrs. Kim, and Vanessa Marano will return as April (ugh). Catching Up. Thursday night on The CW brought superhero fun along with an intense, gritty battle. Read our recaps of Legends of Tomorrow and The 100 to get our thoughts and to make sure you didn’t miss anything in the latest episodes of both shows.

Spoiler ahead for the major characters who have died on The Walking Dead. Avert your eyes if you don’t want to see.

Quirky Class Photo. Lots of humans have lost their lives in The Walking Dead. Entertainment Weekly gathered the 11 most memorable characters that have died and created this creepy yet cool photo. Okay, maybe it’s more creepy than cool. [Entertainment Weekly, Image: Ethan Hill/EW]
