TGIWTFridays, folks. I donât know about you, but this week felt a lot longer than usual. (Maybe it’s the soul-destroying heat wave that’s hit the Los Angeles area?) To help you ride out the end of your work/school week, weâve got a delicious spread of TV bites for you to sink your teeth into. Today has a little bit of everything, from a new look at Rick from The Walking Dead to the sad news that White Collarâs next season will be its last. Plus, weâve got a look at the Extant Season 1 artwork for you! So kick back, put your feet up, and grab a snack, âcause this metaphorical appetizer tray is chock-full of TV newsy goodness.
âSclusive Space Stuff. The Halle Berry-led, Stephen Spielberg produced CBS sci-fi drama Extant concluded its first season this week with a âHoly Cats!â type of reveal. (Shhh. We wonât spoil it for you here.) And with that in mind, weâve got a reveal of our own to share! Weâre happy to share the exclusive Extant Season 1 DVD art work, right here on Nerdist. The first season will be available on December 12, just in time for the holiday season.
YAAAAS:Â WB and TNT are teaming up to produce a Teen Titans live action TV pilot. Who would you cast to play the Teen Titans? [Nerdist]
Billy on the Late Night. Billy Eichner likes to yell at people. He did it at The Emmys, he does it on Parks and Recreation… heck, he even made his own show about it, Billy on the Street! Well now, he’s taking his brand of ornery comedy to David Letterman, where, you know, he yells a bunch: [Vulture]
But Maybe In An Alternate Universe? Aw, shucks. HBO has decided not to move forward with Open, Ryan Murphy’s adult love and relationships pilot. I wouldn’t care so much, but this pilot starred the swoon-worthy and tragically underrated Scott Speedman, he of American Beauty and upcoming Hunger Games fame Wes Bentley, True Detective‘s Michelle Monaghan, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Fringe‘s Anna Torv. SOMEBODY give Anna a show, please. I miss Olivia/Fauxlivia: [TVLine]
Really, Lorne Michaels? Look, I think we can all agree that Weekend Update needed a serious… well, update. Cecily Strong is much better suited to the sketches than the desk, and Michael Che is a wonderful, welcome addition to the cast. But really? Two men, again? I could go on, but why don’t you just read Clarke Wolfe’s brilliant take on it? [Nerdist]
Storybrooke Has Frozen Over. We get it, ok? Some of you are sick of Frozen, and that’s ok! If you are, just kindly skip over this little tidbit and make your way to the next one. OUAT + Frozen fans, step right up and feast your eyes on this new poster. [EW]
Farewell, White Collar. Well, it looks like White Collar‘s next season will be its last. The Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay-led crime drama’s sixth and final season premieres Thursday, November 6 at 9/8c on USA. For more from the network and the show’s creator, click right here: [TVLine]
Two. More. Weeks. We’re counting down to the Sleepy Hollow premiere here at Nerdist, both on the SleepyCast (the Official Sleepy Hollow Podcast) and in our hearts. We’ve also got a few photos from the season’s first episode right here, because we love you: [Nerdist]
