The week’s going out with a bang. Marvel has shared another glimpse into the world of Jessica Jones, and this time we meet Kilgrave. David Tennant’s character sends Jessica a threatening message. He Knows. Marvel’s releasing news about Jessica Jones bit by precious bit, and I’m lapping it up. The latest teaser brings in the villainous Kilgrave, also known as the Purple Man. He’s played by David Tennant, and he’s apparently been keeping tabs on Jessica. His voice gives me chills. [Nerdist]

Another Priestess. The religion of R’hllor in Westeros is gaining at least one new follower in season six of Game of Thrones. Melanie Liburd has been cast as Red Priestess. This means she’s taking on a role similar to Melisandre’s and to the priestess we saw Tyrion encounter in Volantis. The addition could be tied to the resurrection of a certain character, or it could mean we’ll see more of the R’hllor faith in the coming season. [Deadline]

Back for More. Halt and Catch Fire hasn’t exactly raked in top ratings for AMC, however, that’s not stopping the network from giving the show another season. It wasn’t a simple decision, but AMC has renewed the series starring Lee Pace for a third season. Variety reports the show was saved “by the fact that it had a steady core viewership that was largely upscale.” I’m curious about the definition of “upscale.” [Variety]

It’s About Defiance. November 20 is a busy day in the world of streaming originals. All episodes of Jessica Jones drop on Netflix that day, and Amazon Prime’s The Man in the High Castle will arrive as well. The series based on a novel by Philip K. Dick and executive produced by Ridley Scott debuted during Amazon’s pilot season. It imagines a world where the Allied Powers lost World War II. But as you can see in the above trailer, not all hope is lost. [Slashfilm]

So Many Mysteries. We don’t know a ton about the upcoming continuation of Twin Peaks. None of the casting additions we’ve heard about–like Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard–have been officially announced. And along the same vein, it doesn’t look like Michael Ontkean will be returning to the role of Sheriff Harry S. Truman. There hasn’t been any official news, but a source near the actor said Ontkean is fully retired from show business. Hmm. Showtime is reportedly bringing in Robert Forster to play the lead lawman in town. [Nerdist]

Meet Anarky. When the second episode of Arrow season three, “The Candidate,” airs next week, it will introduce mayoral candidate Jessica Danforth (Jeri Ryan) and Anarky (Alexander Calvert). Inquisitor Business. Season two of Star Wars Rebels returns on October 14, and it comes back with Inquisitors. Plural. The Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister are searching for Force-sensitive children and hunting down the crew of the Ghost. Also highlighted in the trailer: Hondo Ohnaka, Sabine’s family (Vizsla!), more of Darth Vader, and Ezra’s parents. Please note the reverse “Duel of the Fates” action at the end of the trailer. The Takeaway. Terry Gilliam’s autobiography Gilliamesque: A Pre-posthumous Memoir hits shelves on October 20, and to promote the book, Gilliam recently participated in a Q&A at The Guardian. He answered fan questions in a sort of Reddit AMA style and when asked about his current television projects, Gilliam mentioned The Defective Detective and Time Bandits. It was a few brief words “a TV series based on Time Bandits,” but I’m dying to hear more. [Slashfilm]
