TV-Cap: DAREDEVIL Season 2 Photos, GRAVITY FALLS Series Finale Air Date, and More

Welcome to 2016, everyone! I realize I’m a few days late, but this is the first Monday of the new year so it’s almost like the first day. As you get back into the swing of life and work after a holiday break, take a few minutes to pause and catch up on the latest television happenings in today’s TV-Cap. Learn when Daredevil will return with Season 2, watch a new teaser for Agent Carter, get the series finale date for Gravity Falls, and more.

Back to Hell’s Kitchen. The return of Daredevil on Netflix isn’t so far away. Season 2 will premiere sometime in March, a month earlier than most expected to see it. Matt Murdock will have a new foe or maybe a new ally with The Punisher and Elektra is coming into the picture. See more pictures from the upcoming season at Nerdist. Clarke in Disguise. It’s only a couple of weeks until the return of The 100. Season 3 can’t get here quickly enough. The next episode of the uncompromising series is called “Wanheda: Part One,” and images from the premiere show Clarke has a new look to keep those tracking her off her scent. She’s gone full Grounder. See more photos from The 100 Season 3 premiere right this way. [Image: The CW]

Expanding Forward. Syfy isn’t wasting any time when it comes to The Expanse. They’ve renewed the series for a second season. Season 1 is still airing, and Season 2 will premiere in early 2017. [Slashfilm]

Breaking It Down. Raise your hand if you watched the Sherlock holiday special “The Abominable Bride.” My hand’s raised. Keep that hand up if you were a little confused as the story unfolded. It jumped around quite a bit. If you want to go back over the mystery, read Alicia Lutes’ recap of the episode (there are spoilers, obviously).

All Grown Up. Bran Stark has been through training, and when we see him next, he’ll have an important role in the road ahead on Game of Thrones. He’s been learning from the Three-Eyed Raven, and the first picture of him from Season 6 shows a quite different looking Bran (we haven’t seen him since Season 4). He’ll have visions of the present, future, and the past, and that could mean he’ll answer some important questions–like maybe the big one about Jon Snow’s lineage. Waiting in Westeros. Speaking of Game of Thrones and the world of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R.R. Martin has announced the next book in the series won’t be out before Season 6 starts airing in April. He wanted to get The Winds of Winter, the sixth in the series, done by the end of 2015, but it didn’t happen. He doesn’t have an estimated completion date either and doesn’t want to set another deadline. You can read his comments at his blog. [Variety]

Being Sent West. Los Angeles just got infinitely more elegant because Peggy Carter. When Agent Carter comes back to ABC with a two-hour premiere event on January 19, Peggy and Jarvis are on the west (best) coast and adjusting to life with palm trees and endless sunshine. Each new teaser I see gets me more excited. [Nerdist]

The Voice of Veronica. iZombie has been welcoming alums from Veronica Mars since it premiered. Percy Daggs III, Daran Norris, and Ryan Hansen have all appeared on both series, both helmed by Rob Thomas. Kristen Bell is finally joining their ranks–mostly. Her voice will appear in the January 26 episode, “Fifty Shades of Grey Matter.” [Nerdist]

Taking a Bow. Disney XD has set the date for the one-hour Gravity Falls series finale. You can mark your calendars for February 16. They’re sending the animated show out in style with a 68-hour marathon that will kick off on February 12. Disney XD will also air a 30-minute special about the series on February 8. [TVLine]

Warning: If you don’t want to know anything at all about Season 4 of Orphan Black, stop reading. If you’re fine with officially released pics and info, proceed.

Could It Be? New clones continue to arrive in Orphan Black, and each introduction is exciting. It looks like there will be another joining the sestras in Season 4 (premiering in April). Series co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson talked to Entertainment Weekly about M.K. She’s a mysterious clone wearing a mask, and she has information that will be incredibly helpful to the clones. [Nerdist, Image: BBC America]
