Those Are Some Genes! George R.R. Martin, author of A Song of Ice and Fire, a.k.a. the books that inspired HBO’s Game of Thrones, made an appearance at Balticon over the weekend. He told convention attendees a new facet about Brienne of Tarth’s history, and it’s pretty rad. She’s the descendant of Ser Duncan the Tall, one of the most famous knights of Westeros. Shutting It Down. Arrow’s Willa Holland appeared at MCM London Comic Con and spoke to Mirror about some frustrations with Warner Bros. She specifically touched on the inclusion of the Suicide Squad in the series. They were planning to bring the group in but got shut down. Holland said, “We were about season two when they started telling us we had to start basically killing off the Suicide Squad that we were starting to build on our own. We were actually trying to build that on our own on the show, and I guess once DC found out they were going to be doing their own movie of it, we had to ax all of the characters before we even got to show them, which was a little annoying at first.” She also touches on the DC movie universe going with different actors for the roles of Green Arrow and Flash.
