To those of you enjoying a well-deserved day off, happy Labor Day! To everyone else, yay, it’s Monday! I know that’s generally not an occasion worth celebrating, but I promise today isn’t so bad because if nothing else, you have several new trailers to watch: there’s the packed sizzle reel for Season 4 of Arrow, a look at Lash in a teaser for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and a look at the premiere episode of Season 9 of Doctor Who. Watch them all in today’s TV-Cap.
Everyone’s Invited. Season 4 of Arrow looks like it’s going to be a party, and the guest list is long. A trailer revealed at Dragon Con offers a glimpse into the future, and it’s so exciting that you’ll want to watch it a couple of times to catch everything. There’s some Olicity adorableness, Matt Ryan’s Constantine, Damien Darhk, the rise of the White Canary, a new Star City sign, and so much more. Though I admit Season 3 of the DC Comics series wasn’t my favorite, I’m feeling stoked about Season 4. [Nerdist]
Lil’ Bro. Avert your eyes if you don’t want to know anything about Season 6 of Game of Thrones because we have a possibly spoiler-y casting announcement. It looks like Freddie Stroma (Harry Potter) will be playing Samwell Tarly’s younger brother Dickon. This Tarly is the heir House Tarly, and we haven’t yet met him in A Song of Ice and Fire. [Nerdist]
Possessed to Find the Truth. Cinemax’s upcoming exorcism drama–that’s such a weird sentence to type–has added a cast member. Scott Porter will star opposite Patrick Fugit and Philip Glenister in Outcast, produced by Robert Kirkman and Chris Black. Porter will play Donnie Hamel. [Deadline]

All the Weapons. Marvel’s The Punisher has an affinity for guns. This is not exactly a secret. Jon Bernthal is playing the cutthroat character in Season 2 of Daredevil, and he tweeted this picture of Frank Castle’s wall o’ guns. All I can think about is all the space you’d need to store the ammunition. [Nerdist]
More Law. While we’re on the topic of The Man Without Fear, Stephen Rider has reportedly been added as a regular cast member for Daredevil. He’s slated to play New York City’s District Attorney Blake Tower. That gives him a possible connection to Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson, but if it’s a series regular, it can’t be a small connection. [Nerdist]
Daisy in Charge. The Inhumans are going to be part of Season 3 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a bigger way than they were in Season 2. Daisy–formerly known as Skye–has a specialized team, and a quick look ahead shows there’s some possible friction between her team and the regular S.H.I.E.L.D. crew. Also, there’s Lash. No big deal. Digital Decay. As The Walking Dead continues, the zombies are only becoming more rotted and juicy. The bodies of those infected are continuing to fall apart. Executive producer Greg Nicotero says in order to achieve the desired level of decay, they have to reach beyond makeup in Season 6. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “Weâre doing a few things we havenât done before, which is digital augmentation of couple of walkers. Weâre moving noses and putting a cavity there. Taking the area underneath the ribcage and shrinking it down. Kind of Bernie Wrightson style. That stuff is what makes it more exciting because it gives us more opportunities.” I look forward to seeing the VFX breakdown reels. And also, I’m curious–can the zombies rot to death, so to speak? Missy’s Return. When I watched the above teaser for the premiere episode of the ninth season of Doctor Who, the first few frames freaked me out. I didn’t expect that, and I take it as a good sign. “The Magician’s Apprentice” features the return of Michelle Gomez’s Missy, and she and Clara appear to be searching for the Doctor. The time traveling series returns on September 19. [Nerdist]
