TV-Cap: A GAME OF THRONES Tease, First Look at COLBERT’s Replacement & a New ARROW Recruit

It’s a very rainy Wednesday here in Los Angeles so let’s keep this intro brief — we want to spend as much time underneath our covers as is socially acceptable — because we’ve got good things to show you! Like a new Game of Thrones tease! And a first-look at Stephen Colbert’s replacement Larry Wilmore’s Nightly Show! To say nothing of a beastmaster of a new addition to Arrow. Let’s dig into today’s TV tidbits — cuz they’re soooo meaty.

If You Squint You’ll See Some New Game of Thrones Footage: And by that we mean — it’s very small! And very inconsequential and quick and it’ll probably annoy you more than excite you, but still! A new Game of Thrones thing is still a new Game of Thrones thing. And it’s got new things in it, like Sansa looking at a thing! And Arya in a rowboat! Plus Cersei looking like she’s being carried in Joffrey’s old caravan. INTRIGUE! SPECULATION! We’ve still got several months until it all returns so cool yer jets for now, folks. Or sign up for that The Sight thing (that’s where this came from, although we’ve still YET TO RECEIVE OUR SIGHT, HBO, cough cough and apparently we’re not the only ones).

Parks and Wreckreation: What are you trying to do, Chris Pratt? Destroy us and make us mourn this soon-to-be old world of ours? The one where we had regular seasons of Parks and Recreation and everything was beautiful and nothing hurt? If you’re into feeling your feelings (which we are so not EW YUCK GROSS), then please feel free to check out this sweet ode to the best mini horse that ever is or was: Li’l Sebastian. It’s even got Nick Offerman on guitar because OF COURSE IT DOES. [Nerdist]

The Glee Kids Will Not Let It Goooooooooo, Let It Gooooooooo: And by that we mean these goddamn Glee kids cannot seem to rid themselves of the show itself, nor the song “Let It Go” from Frozen. Because of course not — would you expect anything less from Ryan Murphy’s after-school special of a network television series? Of course Lea Michele is singing Adele Dazeem’s “Let It Go.” Of course she and Kurt Hummel — likely after losing out on their dreams of Broadway stardom? — have decided to restart the McKinley Glee Club back up again. Of course. Of course they cannot move beyond their high school heyday and perma-musical delusions of hallucinatory dreams: because in Ryan Murphy’s world that’s how it goes (and it’s wrapped up with a sweet and not-at-all patronizing lil’ lesson and a contemporary hit pop song to boot)! So yeah check out the new trailer for the final season of Glee. If you into that sort of thing.

Spooky New SleepyCast: Clarke chats up Sleepy Hollow‘s creature creators and it’s a great listen. So do that! [Nerdist]

Land-Ho for Vikings: The third season of the series is set to premiere on Thursday, February 19th on the History Channel. I know my Aunt Patty is reading this right now and is VERY excited — it’s her favorite show. [TVLine]

The Beastmaster Joins Arrow: Still reeling from the midseason shocker? Need something to look forward to while we wait for Arrow‘s January 21st return? How’s about the information that Marc will play Singer General Matthew Shrieve, the leader of the Creature Commandos, starting with a flashback storyline we’ll first see in episode 14? How’s that work for ya? [Entertainment Weekly]

Cobalt Heads to Los Angeles: We mean that literally — although feel free to add your own zombie/decapitated head joke in there for good measure. [Nerdist]

Colbert’s Replacement: Larry Wilmore is going to be sofa king great, OK?

So — what do you make of the Game of Thrones footage? And how’s about that Larry Wilmore, eh? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
