TROLLHUNTERS Part 2 Trailer Revives a Fallen Favorite (Exclusive)

Last year, DreamWorks brought Guillermo del Toro‘s Trollhunters to Netflix as an animated series that explored Arcadia, a small town that is home to both humans and a hidden civilization of trolls. A teenager named Jim Lake was chosen to be the new Trollhunter, but his battle against the evil Gumm-Gumms cost him the life of his friend. As penance, Jim abandoned his allies and set off into the Darklands alone. However, Jim’s trials are far from over. In our exclusive premiere of the new trailer for Trollhunters part two, Jim’s actions are about to draw some very unwelcome attention from an unlikely source. And the hunters will soon become the hunted.

The good news for Jim is that his friend, AAARRRGGHH!!!, doesn’t appear to be quite as dead as he used to be. While it remains to be seen how AAARRRGGHH!!! will be revived, he will apparently be just as flatulent as ever. But Jim couldn’t ask for better friends than AAARRRGGHH!!!, Toby, Blinky, and Claire. They’re all back together for a new round of adventures. Unfortunately for them, Gunmar, the powerful leader of the Gumm-Gumms, is still plotting his escape from the Darklands. And the trailer broadly hints that Gunmar will succeed.

This season will also mark the last time that the late Anton Yelchin will provide Jim’s voice. But the 13 new episodes should serve as a fitting tribute to Yelchin while giving fans an exciting story that has only started to unfold. Netflix will premiere the entirety of Trollhunters part two on Friday, December 15.
