Tricia Helfer Signs on for POWERS Season 2

The second season of the Sony Playstation Network original series Powers will revolve around the murder of one of the primary characters from the first season. And Tricia Helfer is going to help solve the mystery!

Sony Pictures TV has announced that Helfer has joined the cast of Powers Season 2 as FBI Special Agent Lange, a character who originated in the Powers comic book series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. Like her counterpart in the comics, Lange has a complex history with Detective Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and an agenda that may pit her against both Walker and his partner, Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward).

Helfer is best known for playing the Cylon Number Six on the Battlestar Galactica reboot series. Helfer has also had memorable roles in Burn Notice, Human Target, Supernatural, Suits, and a starring turn in the Syfy miniseries Ascension (pictured above). Helfer has also lent her vocal talents to Falling Skies, Starcraft 2, Tron: Uprising, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Mortal Kombat X.

Michael Madsen recently joined the cast of Powers as SuperShock, a Superman-like character who emerges from retirement after the murder of Retro Girl (Michelle Forbes). The second season of Powers is adapting the “Who Killed Retro Girl?” storyline from the earliest issues of the Powers comic.

Powers Season 2 is currently filming and it will premiere on Playstation Network in 2016.
