Regardless of what you may think of the current movie series by Michael Bay, fans can agree that the 1986 Transformers movie was one of the coolest, saddest, and weirdest movies of all time. Where else can you see both the death of the greatest Autobot that ever lived AND a bunch of robots dancing to “Weird Al” Yankovic?
Thanks to Fathom Events, fans will be able to experience Transformers: The Movie on the big screen, either for the first time or once again, depending on your age. Reported by ComingSoon, on September 27 at 7 PM local time, there will be a one-time showing of the movie, which has been digitally remastered and will be presented in HD. That’s good, because we want to see Starscream finally get his from Megatron in the highest quality possible.
Not only will fans get to see the movie, but they will also be treated to a look behind the scenes at this December’s Bumblebee, starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena.
If only there were more cool stuff going on at this screening. Oh yeah, there is. Also included will be an interview with songwriter Stan Bush, who wrote the greatest rock song to ever be associated with robots that transform into vehicles, “The Touch.”
Tickets for this event will go on sale starting August 3rd on Fathom’s website here.
