TRAILER: Terry Gilliam’s THE ZERO THEOREM

Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem is a meditation in mathematical-dystopian-future-weirdness that both completes a trilogy that includes 1985’s Brazil and 1995’s Twelve Monkeys and answers the question: “What would Christoph Waltz look like completely hairless?” Everyone’s favorite accented genius is Qohen Leth, an eccentric computer genius suffering from existential angst while working to solve the “Zero Theorem,” which should yield an explanation for the meaning of life. A beautiful woman (Melanie Theirry) complicates things, as beautiful women are wont to do.

The project has been kicking around for some time, and had existed in a previous incarnation with Billy Bob Thornton attached to star.

The trailer can best be described as, “a lot.” Visually and conceptually, it’s a lot to process, not least of all for the image of Christoph Waltz, smooth as a seal, floating in a fetal position through space.

This movie looks really good! Waltz is an excellent choice 🙂 I was a little disturbed to see An Americans for Prosperity Koch Brothers ad for 3 seconds before I could skip it. :O=
