Trailer for OBVIOUS CHILD With Jenny Slate Promises a True-to-Life Rom-Com

If you’ve been waiting for the amazing Jenny Slate to get top billing in a movie, you should have gone to Sundance this year to see the premiere of Obvious Child. Fortunately, A24 acquired Obvious Child for a theatrical release, since most of us can’t make it out to Park City, UT just for a film festival.

Based on the short film of the same name (which Slate also starred in years ago) by writer-director Gillian Robespierre, the film appears to be a very promising, realistic romantic comedy. Slate plays a stand-up comedian who has a one-night stand and gets pregnant, then has to figure out what she should do. Gabe Liedman, Gaby Hoffman, Polly Draper, and Jake Lacy round out a very solid cast.

Obvious Child is set to make its theatrical run starting June 6th.
