Track of the Day: Connor Youngblood’s ‘Stockholm’ is like a Sonic Zen Garden

Mondays suckkkkkkkkkkkkk. Consequently, it is important to look up from whatever screen you are most likely staring at, find a point in the distance, focus on it and breathe. Now close your eyes and put on this calming new track by Connor Youngblood, which features soothing, repetitive chants and cascading washes of harp. Let it it sink in and take a deep breath. It is going to be okay!

I have had this on repeat for the last three hours while scrolling through social media, anxiously checking RSS feeds and I cannot begin to explain how therapeutic it has been. Youngblood is a crazy-talented multi instrumentalist (apparently, he plays roughly 30 instruments, which seems absolutely impossible—mostly because I don’t think I can name 30 off the top), who picked up harp after his sisters quit taking lessons. The cut is from his forthcoming The Generation of Lift EP, which drops in October.

Let us know if the cooled-out vibes are washing away the stresses of your day in the comments below, and be sure to check out previous tracks of the day right here.
