Okay, while we’re biting on the teaser trailers (or trailers for trailers, if you prefer), today we have a teaser for the trailer for the remake of Evil Dead. This one cuts between footage from the movie’s panel at New York Comic Con (with Bruce Campbell resplendent in red, plus the remake’s star Jane Levy and director/co-writer Fede Alvarez) to flashes from the movie. So we have a few seconds of footage now, with more tomorrow.
Yes, this DOES constitute, as a commenter on YouTube said, a preview for a commercial. But plenty of people are intensely curious about what this is going to be like, and who are we to question the infinite marketing wisdom involved here, so here it is. April 12th is the release date, so you have plenty of time to watch the original, plus Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, and complain how the new version couldn’t possibly be as good as the originals.

I LOOOVED the Evil Dead movies, and I look forward to seeing the whole trailer – but it looks like this movie is missing the element of campiness that we got from the previous Evil Dead’s.
I’m still gonna watch it, though. =D I can always get my low-budget horror fix at next years Frightmare Weekend.
I don’t know, I just don’t know. On one hand I’m like, don’t touch my precious memories! On the other Bruce Campbell is involved and looks like he’s approved of it, so I have no idea how it will turn out.
It can’t beat the original though, even if it is a masterpiece.
