Titan Announces New STAR TREK Season One Vinyl Figures

This year, Star Trek is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the premiere of its first episode, “The Man Trap,” which aired on September 8, 1966. That one show launched three seasons of the original series, an animated show, four spin-offs (and counting), and 13 feature films over five decades. But it all started with that first season on NBC. And now, as part of the celebration, the folks at Titan Toys are unveiling their Star Trek: Where No Man Has Gone Before collection of vinyl figures, just in time for this year’s Toy Fair.

Under license by CBS Consumer Products, the collection will feature all the principal season one characters you know and love, as well as other iconic villains and creatures from the Enterprise’s first year out of space dock. Included in this first blind-boxed wave of vinyl figures are Captain James T. Kirk, Mister Spock, Doctor Leonard McCoy, and the rest of the Enterprise’s iconic bridge crew: Uhura, Sulu, Scotty, Nurse Chapel and Yeoman Rand. If you’re wondering where poor Ensign Chekov is, well, everyone’s favorite Russian helmsman didn’t actually join the cast till season two. Next year, Pavel.

Alongside the bridge crew, we’ve also got some classic season one nemeses such as the mysterious Balok from ‘The Corbomite Maneuver,” the big-brained Talosian Keeper from the original pilot “The Cage,” the reptilian Gorn from “Arena,” and arguably Star Trek’s greatest villain of all time, the legendary Khan Noonien Singh from “Space Seed.” Also in this wave are Vina, the green-skinned Orion slave girl, and Captain Christopher Pike, the original Captain of the Enterprise. Each figure is 3” blind-boxed and certain pieces come with a character-specific accessory. The line also includes two hidden chase figures for fans to hunt and collect.

You can check out preview images of the entire first wave of the Star Trek: Where No Man Has Gone Before collection in our gallery below.
