Watch Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi’s Hilarious Improvised THOR: RAGNAROK Clip

Every single commercial and trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has left us thinking the movie might be the most fun installment yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That’s because each hilarious sneak peek has been defined by a campy (in the best way) silliness. And a new clip from the movie, featuring an absurd improvised scene with Chris Hemsworth and director Taika Waititi, shows that this lighthearted tone was contagious and encouraged on set.

On Tuesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, Hemsworth shared a scene from the film in which Thor is talking to an oversized stone man (voiced by Waititi) while picking out a weapon he’ll use to compete in the Grandmaster’s (Jeff Goldblum) fighting arena. Thor needs a new one because his hammer, Mjolnir, was destroyed by Hela, but he can’t help but speak of his old weapon with a fondness normally reserved for a significant other.

We need to see this movie right now. We also need someone to open up theme parks where you get to play on recreated movie sets. This really funny scene came about because of how much fun professionals were having fooling around with all of the amazing props strewn about the set. Please let us do that too.

In the meantime, we’re pretty sure we’re going to have fun watching this movie. It’s obvious Thor can be both the God of Thunder and the God of Great Comedic Timing.

What did you think of this scene? What are you most looking forward to with the movie? Hammer away at our comments section below with your thoughts.
