This Week at NerdMelt Theater!

Hello and hi there, and welcome to another week at NerdMelt Theater in LA, your home away from home! Or maybe that’s just me. Regardless, if you’ve made a resolution to do more stuff, we’ve got you covered, whether it’s laughing, learning, or just generally hanging out in the back of a comic book store!

Sunday at 7pm, it’s Matt Mira’s Day Off!

Matt Mira of the Nerdist Podcast needs a Day Off, so we decided to give him Sundays at Nerdist Theater. Come watch Mira and Paul Cibis host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani are frequent drop ins), and the magic that is live comedy.

FREE!

Wednesday at 8:30pm, it’s The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

This week, Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani welcome Streeter Seidell, Sean O’Connor, Maronzio Vance, Erik Anker, Tyler Greene, The Sklar Brothers, and Chris Hardwick!
$8

That’s all for our live shows for the next seven days, but we’re bringing back, due to popular demand, Colton Dunn’s Harold Clinic, starting on January 9th! Here are the details!

The Harold Clinic is a three-week intensive set across twenty four 2 hour sessions, 4 days a week, ending with a show on January 26th.  It’s for long-form improvisers interested in fine tuning their Harold performance…. like a gym for your improv skills.  Instructed by veteran improviser Colton Dunn, each session will bring pointed notes and constructive criticism to help cultivate your Harold performance.  This is three weeks of pure badass Harold jamming that ends with a show.  Can you get with that?
Cost: $120.00

STARTS January 9th
Monday-Thursday 12pm-2pm and 6pm-8pm

Workshop Show:  Thur January 26th at 5pm @NerdMelt
ENDS Jan 26th
To sign up, Paypal here or email Colton at [email protected].

So come on down to NerdMelt, where you can take classes, hang out, and just generally get weird with it in the back of Meltdown Comics! Follow us on Twitter and on our blog!

Well, that awesome show for the 19th was simply not to be missed (as it was a rare date that I was available), so I persevered in true nerd fashion. Finally decided to ignore the red-triangled prompt that kept telling me to “Select method of payment” and instead try to click on ANYTHING that would respond, now that the system recognized me enough to give me a new member password (progress)!
My efforts were rewarded at last by some unfamiliar screen FINALLY opening, allowing me to pay for my order. I hope “Demo Tickets” is really a thing, ha-ha!

Emily, you are always just the BEST! Thank you!
I am REALLY hoping the show I want (nay, NEED) to attend does not sell out by some other techno-mage method while we wait this out!
I look forward to giving you all some money soon!

Deb, I forwarded this to our IT guy and we’ll see what we can do to fix the problem. Thanks!

The old Meltdown order screen was very tricky, but would eventually let one buy tickets. Now, the Nerdmelt screen just refuses to complete the order when one clicks, and one is not allowed to enter payment information–much less use the method of payment on file. The old e-mail addresses as well as passwords are not recognized, and when one takes the time to build a new account before being timed out by the system, one still is not allowed to complete the order. I hope this is a temporary glitch and that the show I am interested in does not sell out before it is fixed
