This Week at NerdMelt Theater!

Have you been following all of the big news to come out of Comic-Con? (This blog post is being developed into a graphic novel!) Once you come down from the euphoric fumes emitted from San Diego, check out the killer lineup of shows we have at NerdMelt Theater all week long!

Friday at 8:00 chow down at Pizza Con!

The people behind Fox’s new late night animation block, ADHD, will be showing unaired Cartoon Network/Adult Swim pilots intro-ed by the creators. The night will include stand-up from writers and contributors working on shows in development. There will also be a ton of pizza, cool art, pizza, contests and pizza!

FREE!

Saturday at 8:00 jam out to Loud Noises!

Spend a night with comedy jokings and musical sounds at LOUD NOISES! at the Nerdist Theatre at Meltdown Comics.
Begin with laughs from your host, Brandon Vaughn, and comedians Sofiya Alexandra, Paul Jay (Improv, Bridgetown Comedy Festival), and Rory Scovel (Comedy Central’s The Half Hour, Conan) who will make you laugh so hard you’ll forget you don’t have health insurance, followed by an evening of tunes from Jamie Drake (jamiethedrake.com) with Among Savages (amongsavages.com) headlining the night!

If fun was a food, it’d be an ice cream sandwich with pizza buns called LOUD NOISES!, and you’d never be hungry again.

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!

Sunday at 7:00 is Matt Mira’s Day Off!

Matt Mira of the Nerdist Podcast needs a Day Off, so we decided to give him Sundays at Nerdist Theater. Come watch Mira and Paul Cibis host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani are frequent drop ins), and the magic that is live comedy.

Free!

Monday at 8:00 is another Harmontown!

People always ask us “What is Harmontown?”, and that’s a tough question to answer, but here’s the closest thing we’ve got: we gave the creator of Community a night to do whatever he wanted, and what we got was Harmontown.

Attend a town meeting in a land free of brevity, where Mayor Dan Harmon and Comptroller Jeff B. Davis (Whose Line is it Anyway) take another small, vodka-soaked step toward colonizing the moon. Evening may include ineffectual rants, songs, shameful stories, special guests (Allison Brie, Donald Glover, and Gillian Jacobs have all stopped in), forehead sweat and repeated exposure to the phrases “like” , “uh”, “sort of” and “you know.”

SOLD OUT. Limited tickets available at the door for $10.

Tuesday at 7:30 spend An Evening With Kyle Kinane!

Experience an intimate evening with the incredibly funny Midwestern marvel, Mr. Kyle Kinane!

$5!

Tuesday at 9:00 unbutton your collar at Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction!

Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction is a comedy show (and soon-to-be podcast) founded in Seattle, created & hosted by Bryan Cook.  Each event features 10 comics, writing and performing Erotic Fan Fiction pieces, based on their whims or audience suggestions.  It’s really stupid.

Come see what Laughspin.com said “might be one of my favorite comedy shows I’ve ever taken in. Period.”

  The star-studded lineup features:

 Mike O’Connell,
Andres Du Bouchet,
Jonah Ray,
 Patrick Keane,
Erin Gibson,
 Sean Patton,
Emily Maya Mills,
Hampton Yount,
Heather Thomson, and Jerrod Carmichael!

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!

Wednesday at 8:30 it’s The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

This week, Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani welcome the comedy stylings of Todd Glass, Tommy Johnagin, Mike Holmes, Yassir Lester, Randy Liedtke, and Nick Thune.

$8!

Thursday at 8:00 enjoy the mellifluous sounds of Marian Call!

Marian Call brings her humorous and eclectic Alaskan folk funk for a musical performance unlike any other.

Tickets are $10 and available here!

Thank you all so much for your continued support of the theater. Follow us on Twitter and track us on our blog for more info about any of these shows!
