Exhausted from that midnight screening of Prometheus? Just got out of the clink after trying to sneak into That’s My Boy? Well we have a fantastic week of shows down here at NerdMelt Theater for you to enjoy!

Saturday at 8:00 see improvise standup at Set List!

From the minds of Paul Provenza and Troy Conrad… Set List is back from sold-out shows at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, and a regular run in London. Top comics are given a never-before-seen “set list”of strange and outrageous topics the second they walk onstage, and perform seamlessly as if its the act they normally do, while the audience follows their list on the projection screen. Complete comedy in the moment. The Lineup includes: Jonah Ray, Jimmy Dore, Paul Scheer, Rick Overton, Rove McManus, Blaine Capatch, Jake Johannsen and Greg Fitzsimmons.

$8 dollars in advance, $10 at the door!

Sunday at 7:00 is Matt Mira’s Day Off!

Matt Mira of the Nerdist Podcast needs a Day Off, so we decided to give him Sundays at Nerdist Theater. Come watch Mira and Paul Cibis host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani are frequent drop ins), and the magic that is live comedy.

Free!

Monday at 8:00 become a citizen of Harmontown!

People always ask us “What is Harmontown?”, and that’s a tough question to answer, but here’s the closest thing we’ve got: we gave the creator of Community a night to do whatever he wanted, and what we got was Harmontown. Attend a town meeting in a land free of brevity, where Mayor Dan Harmon and Comptroller Jeff B. Davis (Whose Line is it Anyway) take another small, vodka-soaked step toward colonizing the moon. Evening may include ineffectual rants, songs, shameful stories, special guests (Allison Brie, Donald Glover, and Gillian Jacobs have all stopped in), forehead sweat and repeated exposure to the phrases “like” , “uh”, “sort of” and “you know.”.

SOLD OUT (LIMITED TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR FOR $10).

Tuesday at 8:00 get sexy at Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction!

Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction is a comedy show (and soon-to-be podcast) founded in Seattle, created & hosted by Bryan Cook. Each event features 10 comics, writing and performing Erotic Fan Fiction pieces, based on their whims or audience suggestions. It’s really stupid.

After making headlines at the Bridgetown Comedy Fest and causing widespread uncomfortable boners in Denver and Seattle, CEFF makes its LA DEBUT on June 12th at the venerable Nerdist Theater at Meltdown Comics! Come see the show that Laughspin.Com said “might be one of my favorite comedy shows I’ve ever taken in. Period.” The start-studded lineup features both NEW competitors and some Fan Fic vets: Baron Vaughn! Amber Tozer! Guy Branum! Rob Delaney! Mike O’Connell! Claudia Cogan! Eliza Skinner! Emily Gordon! Moshe Kasher! Aparna Nancherla!

$8 dollars in advance, $10 at the door!

Wednesday at 8:30 trot down to The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

This week, Jonah and Kumail welcome Ron Funches, Nic Novicki, Baron Vaughn, Wil Anderson, Justin Willman, Greg Behrendt and the continuing summer fling of Anthony Jeselnik!

$8!

Thursday at 8:00 see the new show Charlie Sanders: Straight, White and Lovin’ It!

Charlie Sanders has faced many struggles living as a straight white male. He tells comedic stories about overcoming the odds – and tries to get you to upgrade your AAA membership in the process.  Charlie Sanders is a writer for Key and Peele on Comedy Central. He starred in MTV’s horror comedy Death Valley, has appeared on The Office and Community, and is a regular performer at the UCB Theatre in his improv group “Shitty Jobs.”

$5!

Thursday at 9:00 is a taping of The Benson Interruption!

Join Doug Benson (Doug Loves Movies, Last Comic Standing) and some special surprise guests who don’t mind being interrupted while trying to tell their jokes. Fun + awkward = fawkward!

$10!

Thank you all so much for your continued support of the theater. Follow us on Twitter and track us on our blog for more info about any of these shows!
