This Week at NerdMelt Theater!

What’s up, y’all! We’re back with another awesome week at NerdMelt Theater, so we suggest you go outside and find a sturdy stick because we have more fantastic shows than you can shake a stick at! (Also you now how a stick to play with. Pretty cool, right?)

Friday at 9:30 is the return of Set List!

From the minds of Paul Provenza and Troy Conrad… SET LIST is back from sold-out shows at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, and a regular run in London. Top comics are given a never-before-seen “set list”of strange and outrageous topics the second they walk onstage, and perform seamlessly as if its the act they normally do, while the audience follows their list on the projection screen. Complete comedy in the moment.  Featuring Eddie Ifft, Todd Glass, Jake Johannsen, Wayne Federman, Matt Kirshen, Matt Braunger, our very own Chris Hardwick and Special Guest Drew Carey!

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!

Saturday at 7:00 witness the Muchos K-Stew Art Show Opening

Muchos K-Stew is a group show at Meltdown Comics paying tribute to the actress Kristen Stewart (star of such films as Panic Room, Adventureland, and Zathura: A Space Adventure, among others). Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a mysterious young woman and stare at her face until it all makes sense.

Free!

Sunday at 7:00pm is another Matt Mira’s Day Off!

Matt Mira of the Nerdist Podcast needs a Day Off, so we decided to give him Sundays at Nerdist Theater. Come watch Mira and Paul Cibis host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani are frequent drop ins), and the magic that is live comedy.

Free!

Monday at 8:00 is Justin Willman’s Magic Meltdown!

Join Justin Willman (Food Network’s Cupcake Wars) as he and his friends present a cataclysmic evening of prestidigitation, make-believe, and excessive sleight-of-mouth. You’ll spend the entire time wondering “how’d they do that?” and gasping at the wonders of…. MAGIC! This month features Comedian Todd Glass, Magician Eric Buss, Magician James Galea, Mixology by Alie and Georgia, and Sword Swallower Brett Loudermilk.

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!

Tuesday at 8:00 is For Shame!

For Shame is a show where comedians relive their most embarrassing musical choices from their youth. Watch as they share secret stories about bands with which they were sadly obsessed. Then the audience will relive the horror by watching a music video from that artist as the other comedians comment on it as it plays! So grab your Hammer pants and your copy of Teen Bop, and check your ego at the door: For Shame!!! With Matt Braunger, Eric Andre, Neil Campbell and more!

$8 in advance, $10 at the door

Wednesday at 8:30, it’s The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani will take your hand and lead you through a land of comedy, filled with Hampton Yount, Myq Kaplan, David Huntsberger, the UK’s Andi Osho, Paul Jay and Maria Bamford!

Just $8!

Thursday at 8pm is The Writers’ Room with Jimmy Pardo!

Tired of using his quick wit and legendary crowd work skills to get laughs, Jimmy Pardo has hired a team of writers to park themselves on stage and pen material for him on the fly. It’s a formula for comedy guaranteed to devolve into merciless roasting — either of the comic who last performed or the writer who fed Jimmy a dud! Featuring the best wordsmiths in the business and sets from Jimmy’s favorite comics in Los Angeles.

$5 in advance, $7 at the door

Thank you all so much for your continued support of the theater. Follow us on Twitter and track us on our blog for more info about any of these shows!
