Followed by an open discussion on race and gender in geekdom, and a Dance Party with the girls of C3!
Directed by Mischa Livingstone

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!

Saturday at 8pm, it’s the return of Enter Spider!

It was so fun, so bizarre, and since so many people requested it…. Matt McKenna is doing it again!

You’re entering a stand-up comedy show on the edge of time and space; in a place where light and shadow are often mistaken for a biracial gay couple; where the lineup of comics are from all walks of life… and death. There is no two drink minimum here, there is only the maximum occupancy of the Imagination! You are entering… ENTER SPIDER.

$8 in advance, $10 at the door

Sunday at 5pm, it’s the Nerdist Writers Panel

Spend your Sunday afternoons learning from the best at the Nerdist Writers Panel! Join moderator Ben Blacker as he hosts esteemed panelists discussing topics like different types of writing, how they got started, what inspires them, the business side of writing, and more. Panelists will also answer your questions and give some helpful tips and tricks! This series is a must for any hopeful writer in LA, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit 826LA.

Scheduled to appear:
Matt Selman (The Simpsons)
Paul Grellong (Terra Nova; Law and Order: SVU)
Winnie Holzman (creator, My So-Called Life; co-developer, Huge)

Sunday at 7pm, it’s Matt Mira’s Day Off!

Matt Mira of the Nerdist Podcast needs a Day Off, so we decided to give him Sundays at Nerdist Theater. Come watch Mira and Paul Cibis host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani are frequent drop ins), and the magic that is live comedy.

FREE

Tuesday at 8, it’s an Evening in Squaresville!

Join us at the NerdMelt theater at Meltdown Comics Tuesday at 8pm for the premiere screening of Squaresville, a series about growing up and burning brightly. We’ll be debuting select episodes from the new series, taking photos, and, you know, having a blast in the back of a comic book shop.  Enjoy the series with the cast and crew and join us for drinks afterwards. See the show on the big screen before it hits the tiny screen.

FREE! RSVP here!

Then on Tuesday at 11pm, stay up late with the Brian K Vaughn Midnight Release Party!

Come on down to The Nerdist Theater at Meltdown Comics on Tuesday, March 13th at 11pm for the release event for Brian K. Vaughan’s latest work SAGA: Chapter One. It’ll be a late night celebration of one of America’s favorite authors, hosted by Damon Lindelof, one of America’s favorite television writers. And the best part: the show is FREE!*

And once the clock strikes Midnight, Mr. Vaughan will sign copies of SAGA: Chapter One inside Meltdown Comics!

*FREE, yes, but if you buy $10 worth of comics you get priority access to the signing!

Wednesday at 8:30, it’s The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

This week, Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani welcome Matt Kirshen, Aaron Burell, Drennon Davis, Brett Gelman, Nate Fernald, Nate Bargatze, and Neal Brennan!

Just $8!

And Thursday at 8pm, it’s The Thursday Thing with Dana Gould!

A monthly comedy experiment from Dana Gould. On the 3rd Thursday of each month, Dana scratches another item off his comedy To-Do list. One month a carnival, the next a Spook Show, or a two-man “monologue-off,” or three robots fighting six gorillas, or, or, or… This month: Former Simpsons producer Dana and reigning Simpsons stalwart Matt Selman provide a behind-the-scenes look at some of their favorite episodes, as well as… dirt! Who punched a box? Who punched a wall? It’s all here. Like a DVD commentary you can touch and smell!

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!

Thanks to everyone who comes out and supports live comedy in LA. We love you all! Follow us on Twitter and track us on our blog for more info about any of these shows!
