This guy knows what I’m talking about… but more importantly, another week, another awesome set of shows at NerdMelt Showroom at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles, shows like Booze Cruise, Part Two: The Sequels Show, An Evening with Ron Funches, and more! So round up a bunch of friends, plan accordingly, and get down to NerdMelt for some laughs already!

February 22nd at 2pm it’s Puppet Town!

A sketch comedy show for kids… with puppets! Created by Alex Fox and Rachel Lewis and with guest host Timothy Simons (Veep, Draft Day).

L.A.’s favorite family friendly show is back! Puppets! Music! Sketch Comedy! Fun! With a cast of comedians from iO, Second City, Groundlings, and UCB, along with puppeteers from Broadway’sAvenue Q – it’s never ending fun in Puppet Town! Puppet Mastery by Christian Anderson and Puppet Design by Derek Lux (Ovation Award Winners; Puppet Design – Shrek the Musical). Directed by Megan Grano (Jim Belushi and the Chicago Board of Comedy, former staff writer – Jimmy Kimmel Live).

February 22nd at 8:30pm it’s Booze Cruise presents Captain Morgan Phillips!

All Hams On Deck! Come sail the high seas as a passenger on BOOZE CRUISE! Ken Shultz (Brad Gage of Family Sandwich, SketchMelt, AFV XD) hosts the ship’s comedy variety show hour featuring an eclectic drunken meld of stand-up, sketch, music and more! This month, join Karen Kilgariff, Johnny Pemperton, Aparna Nancherla, Eli Olsberg, and more as they fight against pirates making skin flicks in the murky depths!

Written and Produced by NerdMelt’s own Aaron H. Baker, Brad Gage, Danielle N. Kramer, Eric Lombart, and Drew Spears. Free show with free drinks.


February 23rd at 8pm it’s Harmontown!

What is Harmontown? It’s awesome. It’s unique. It’s one of a kind. It’s something only Dan Harmon (creator of Community and Rick and Morty) and Jeff B. Davis (Whose Line is it Anyway) can do. It’s a different show every time and it’s every week. Lucky us! Playing Dungeons and Dragons? It’s happened. Dan Harmon freestyle rapping? Yup, that too. Calling Chevy Chase from stage? February 24th at 9pm it’s Part Two: The Sequel Show!

What’s better than your favorite movies? The SEQUELS to those movies performed by your favorite comedians! Join Tony Sam and Julia Prescott as they co-host the 63rd Annual Sequel Show, also known as the Pitchies, honoring the best in unwritten movies, because the greatest sequels are the ones that haven’t been made yet. At the end of the show, the studio audience will vote on who receives the coveted title of “Best Pitch.” So don your Awards Show best, get camera-ready, and come on out for the best night in movie sequel history! With special guests Kyle Kinane, Matt Braunger, Dave Ross, Guy Branum, Karen Kilgariff, Emily Heller, Ron Lynch, and Liquid Feet!

February 25th at 9pm it’s An Evening With Ron Funches!

The NerdMelt Showroom proudly presents a night of stand-up comedy with one of our favorites, Ron Funches! Come join him as he performs a longer set and has some of his friends open including Ian Karmel and Rick Glassman! Funches is a Los Angeles based comedian hailing from Chicago and Portland. He has been on Conan, @midnight, The Pete Holmes Show, John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, and Kroll Show. You can also catch him in the upcoming NBC series Undateable.


February 26th at 7:30 & 9:30pm it’s The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail TV Taping!

February 27th at 9pm it’s RISK! LA Storytelling Show!

RISK! is the show where people tell true stories they never thought they’d dare to share in public. Stories they’d normally only tell to close friends. At the RISK! Live shows, the brightest stars of TV, film and literature drop their usual act and show a side of themselves you’ve never seen before.
