Today at 6pm, in the brand-new Meltdown Annex, is FullMoonHorror.com’s Launch Party!

Lovable Cookie Monster or Scary Villain?  Gary Busey (the killer Cookie in Gingerdead  Man, Lethal Weapon, Entourage, The Buddy Holly Story), sweetens the red carpet cavalcade of Full Moon Stars at the blow out “Halloween-style” launch party of Charles Band’s FullMoonHorror.com. Then at 8pm, it’s the return of The Business!

It’s The Business, and Business is booming. This popular San Francisco stand up collective comes to L.A. bringing a unique blend of stand up, story telling, and song. Material stretches and develops organically as the performers interrupt and improvise with performers ranging from comedians to authors, dancers to sandwich artists. Featuring Brendon Walsh, Beth Stelling, and more!

Saturday at 7pm, it’s the Bill Rude “7 Hells” Art Show Opening!

 

You’ve seen his horror work on True Blood, Ghost Whisperer, The Science of Fear, and numerous other films and television shows. Now, finally, local Los Angeles artist Bill Rude will for the first time unveil his body of personal horror work: “7 Hells.” A professional designer and animator in the film industry for over 15 years, Rude’s specialization in retro and horror themes directly inspired his concept of pop-culture terror.

Sunday at 5pm is the popular Nerdist Writers Panel!

Spend your Sunday afternoons learning from the best at the Nerdist Writers Panel! Join moderator Ben Blacker as he hosts esteemed panelists discussing topics like different types of writing, how they got started, what inspires them, the business side of writing, and more. Panelists will also answer your questions and give some helpful tips and tricks! This series is a must for any hopeful writer in LA, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit 826LA.

Kumail Nanjiani and Matt Mira are huge Trekkies, but even they have to admit that some of them just don’t hold up. Join them as they introduce you to some of the worst Star Trek episodes in existence. With the help of guests Steve Agee and Chris Hardwick, they will boldly go where no fan has gone before?

Wednesday at 8:30pm is the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

This show, started on October 27th of last year, celebrates its one year anniversary with hosts Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani welcoming Brett Gelman, Steve Agee, Alie & Georgia, Brett Gelman, Hari Kondabolu, and Dana Gould! Plus wedding cake and all the thrills and chills you could imagine!

And finally on Thursday at 8pm, it’s RISK! True Tales, Boldly Told!

RISK! is the show where people tell true stories they never thought they’d dare to share in public– stories they’d normally only tell to close friends. At the RISK!
