Saturday, July 30th at 8pm we have Heart of Darkness

This popular NYC comedy show returns to LA! Instead of appearing solo, at this show each performer becomes a part of the group sound when they join the band The Forgiveness on stage. The 6-piece band backs each comedian up to add color to their stories with original music, and everyone’s sins will be forgiven. Hosted by Greg Barris! Scheduled to appear: Andres Du Bouchet, Rory Scovel and Jon Dore, Ron Lynch, ethnomusicologist Alexandre Tannous, and special guests!

Sunday, July 31st at 5pm, we have the popular Nerdist Writers Series!

Spend your Sunday afternoons learning from the best at the Nerdist Writing Series! Join moderator Ben Blacker as he hosts esteemed panelists discussing topics like different types of writing, how they got started, what inspires them, the business side of writing, and more. Panelists will also answer your questions and give some helpful tips and tricks! This series is a must for any hopeful writer in LA, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit 826LA.

Matt Mira of the Nerdist Podcast needs a Day Off, so we decided to give him Sundays at Nerdist Theater. Come watch Mira and Paul Cibis host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani have both dropped in), and the magic that is live comedy.
