This Web Site Helps You Understand GAME OF THRONES Better With Infographics

With the newest season of HBO’s Game Of Thrones fast-approaching, many will return to Westeros and rewatch the series leading up to it. However, some people may not have that kind of time, or even if they do they may have some difficulty navigating all of the various intertwining plot points, characters, allegiances, and so on. As beloved as Game Of Thrones is, one has to admit that the show can get so bogged down with new characters, similar names, and detail-upon-detail that it can confuse the best of us at times. Graphic designer Nigel Evan Dennis has decided to take his love of the dark fantasy series and mix it with his craft to help others get a grasp on what happened so far. The result is a website called “Where Have All The Wildlings Gone?”

Nigel’s website offers several infographics that help those who visit it understand who the characters of the show are and what they look like. A small spot bearing house colors shows what houses they have held allegiance to, a series of dots represents which season they first appeared in, and a red X is used if they have suffered any injury (or death) by the end of the fourth season. Other than finally getting as much info as possible on the characters, Nigel has also built several graphs to help understand the show’s various plot elements.

The infographics include the twisting political system, the various religious faiths, the geography of the land and who claims what territory, the historical timeline up to this point, the tangled web of House alliances that proves just how complicated things have gotten in Westeros, and even the chords needed to play or sing “The Rains of Castamere.” Trust me, there is very little (if anything) that has been left out. He even offers themes one can download for their smartphone or tablet based on their favorite House of Westeros.
