Transformers costumes have so many details that they can’t be easy to make, but I’ve seen people build the robot ensembles from materials ranging from cardboard to upholestry foam to fiberglass and everything in between. You could even skip all of that and turn Optimus Prime or Megatron into a dress (Her Universe can help with that).
