If there’s one game we’re excited for this year, it’s Final Fantasy XV. In fact, we’ve been pumped for the title ever since it was announced as a PS3 exclusive back in 2006 (come on Square, just give us the game already!). After years of waiting to find out when we’d be able to get our hands on the game, it was revealed that it will be officially launching on September 30, 2016. With the release date getting closer, and E3 right around the corner, we’ve been dying to see more of the game. On Wednesday, Square Enix released a delightful new trailer, showcasing the game’s environment–and we’re taken aback by how stunning it is. Check it out at the top of the page, and bask in the glorious graphics.
In the video, titled Final Fantasy XV – World of Wonder: Environment Footage, takes views on an epic adventure through the upcoming open world title’s scenic backdrops. We see mountains, cities, the sea, caves, and the expansive countryside. While all of this is great, the cherry on top is seeing how day transitions to night. Seriously, it is probably the most realistic day-to-night cycle we’ve ever seen. We can’t wait to see it in action come September.
Also, in case you missed it (or, you know, want to see actual gameplay), the developer debuted an exciting trailer during the special Final Fantasy XV Uncovered event at the end of March. Check it out below:
Yeah, we can’t wait to play this game!
