This Real MARIO GALAXY Video is Truly Stellar

Ever wonder what a real life Mario Galaxy would look like? Wonder no more, because YouTube channel Corridor Digital (known for their real life video game clips like Real GTA) has decided to turn one of the our favorite Mario games real. The glorious three minute clip features the mustachioed brothers jumping around from planet to planet as they embark on a quest to collect stars and save Princess Peach, all in real life. It looks as crazy as it sounds. Feast your eyes on the goodness above.

Watching Mario and Luigi duke it out for stars never gets old. The cameo from Wario is also pretty sweet, but nothing beats the finale where Princess Peach hands two brothers a big L.

Despite giving plenty of video games the real treatment, Corridor Digital admits that this is one of the hardest videos they’ve ever had to make. The whole thing was basically shot in 360. The team also mentions how everything had to be exaggerated in the clip because the subtleties wouldn’t come through. It’s fascinating how everything comes together, especially in the final hours of crunch time. Take a gander at the clip below to get a better sense of how the final product was put together.

This is as good a time as any to remind everyone to go play Mario Galaxy. It’s one of the best Mario games ever made, plus it’s now available on the Wii U’s Virtual Console, so there’s no excuse not to give this masterpiece a look.

What do you think about real Mario Galaxy? Would you ever play a Mario game with photo-realistic graphics? Did the video make your head spin? What other video game would you like to see in real life? Personally, I want a real life Legend of Zelda. Drop your thoughts into the comments section below!

Here’s why the Apple/Nintendo teaming is a definite One-Up!
