This Play Arts KAI DOCTOR STRANGE Figure Looks Like It’s Ready for FINAL FANTASY

Play Arts KAI, the toy division of Square Enix, has done an amazing job of not only giving fans figures based on their favorite Final Fantasy games but their favorite superheroes as well. Creating figures for both Marvel AND DC, Play Arts KAI is able to stay true to the characters while at the same time give them an “anime flair” to make them unique.

Doctor Strange

Posted on their website, their new Doctor Strange figure proves that they have no plan in slowing down. Standing at close to 11 inches, the Sorcerer Supreme is standing ready to guard the Marvel Universe against any supernatural threats.

Doctor Strange

I am a huge fan of this design because the costume doesn’t only look like his Marvel Universe costume, but it looks like he could also fit in with Cloud or Tidus in one of the Final Fantasy games. I know that if I were going up against Sin, having Doctor Strange by my side would be a definite plus. It makes one think about what superheroes would do well in a game like Final Fantasy. Batman vs. Sephiroth? Spider-Man riding a Chocobo? These are definitely some things I’d like to see.

The figure comes with five different sets of hands, two glyphs, and two “magic bolts of lightning.” That last one makes sense. Sometimes you don’t have time to craft magic glyphs. You just need to lightning the crap out of something.

You can check out more photos of the Doctor Strange figure in they gallery below and can pre-order it from their site for 149.99 here.

So what do you think? Will you be adding this figure to your collection? How do you think Stephen would fair against Sephiroth? Let me know on Twitter or trade in your gil in the comments below.
