Have you ever looked at a piece of art and though, “Psssh! I could do that!”? Despite not even being able to draw a dog with four working legs, I’ve definitely had that thought. In fact, I have it most often when it comes to LEGOs. When I was younger I tried to build every LEGO set I bought ignoring the instruction booklet, which usually resulted in the Death Star being a lot more death and a lot less star. But when I saw this LEGO Thor from the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, I never once thought, “I could do that.”
The mighty Thor took LEGO Master Builders 290 hours to construct. See how with this time lapse video. #LEGOSDCC #SDCC @Marvel @Comic_Con pic.twitter.com/IZ4W0kCEJ3

The model, erected at San Diego Comic-Con to promote the film, consists of thousands upon thousands of LEGO bricks and quite a bit of hot glue. Not only does it look just like the God of Thunder, it also captures his personality in its stance, practically daring you to knock it over. Oh, how satisfying that would be to rightfully claim that you’d defeated the Mighty Thor in one-on-one combat. Trading in Mjolnir for twin gladiator blades, this Thor is the one we’ll be seeing onscreen alongside the Incredible Hulk in November as they fight for Asgard.
LEGO didn’t stop there, though. It also brought life-size models of The Flash and Luke Skywalker.
Do you want the LEGO people to make a life-size model of you? Shoot them an email and ask! No, please don’t. Seriously, don’t do that. Either way, let us know what you think of the models in the comments below and on Twitter.
