Though touting itself as a follow-up to the 1995 family adventure film of the same name, The Rock’s forthcoming Jumanji seems to have found a muse in another jungle-set cinematic great: Apocalypse Now. A look at the below video from the set of the remake, shot by Johnson himself and featuring Black, Hart, and Gillan, hearkens back all to eagerly to Francis Ford Coppola’s Vietnam War epic, showcasing the madness and mayhem that overtake any and all who find themselves victim to the jungle’s insatiable gut.

Pity these lost souls, no longer beholden to the identities they once knew, now only feral beasts desperate to survive in unknowable darkness. Even the jungle wants them dead.

On a brighter note, Jumanji hits theaters in July of 2017.
