The Addams Family theme song is one of those melodies that transcends age and era. The last episode of the original TV series aired in 1966, more than two decades before I was born, and yet itâs always been immediately recognizable, floating residually along the airwaves of my life. To be fair, the show and the cartoons it was based off of have been adapted several times since the ’60s TV show, but it speaks to the enduring nature of the eerie, quirky theme, written by Vic Mizzy, that so nicely captures the ethos of the story. Now even birds are catching on.
This talented bird (via Twitter user HANGÄ° UMUT ? and Entertainment Weekly) knows The Addams Family theme song by heart, snaps and all. The bird whistles the tune and bashes his beak against the table to recreate the snapping soundsâall in perfect rhythm! Not even humans can usually do this.
Gerizekalıdkskzkskzkakxf indeed. Below the tweet, in a practical joke worthy of The Addams Family, HANGÄ° UMUT ? also posted a video of a bird sabotaging its friendâs dinner. Somewhere, Thing is clapping its hand.
