There’s a Stormtrooper Helmet Bluetooth Speaker!

With tech like this we sometimes have to wonder how the empire ended up losing so badly. The Fowndry is now taking pre-orders for a bluetooth speaker shaped like the noggins of our favorite clone army soldiers.

With a rechargeable 400mAh lithium battery, 3.5mm audio jack, bluetooth compatibility and rubberized feet to keep it from slipping on your starship’s dashboard as you jam your way through the galaxy, this speaker is a dream come true for anyone aspiring to join the Empire (more images in the gallery below).

For its size, a surprising 5W output comes from the little guy, and we’re sure there’s a “Aren’t you a little short for a stormtrooper?” reference to be made here but we’re not going to sink to that level. However, we are not above saying that the only possible drawback is how we’d find its lack of bass disturbing, but then again bridging the gap of nerdy form and function, it would probably suit most cubicle’s music needs just fine.

With last month’s mention of the AT-BT, a bad-ass custom speaker system built into an Imperial Walker, there seems to be a trend in Imperial sound systems. We’re crossing our fingers for some Star Destroyer cabinets, a Death Star sub-woofer and maybe some TIE fighter surround sound.

Until then you can pre-order the Star Wars Storm Trooper helmet speaker right here for £39.99 (roughly $60) but keep in mind it’s due to release October 2015 so for now you’ll have to make due with the standard issue speakers that the Empire issued you. There’s a star war going on right now, do you think the Emperor is made of credits?

Thoughts on the Empire’s apparent love of sound systems? Think there’s a reason there aren’t Rebel equivalents? Let us know in the comments below!
