Sign the Petition to Have DEADPOOL Host Saturday Night Live

Someone’s clearly been reading our minds: Magical unicorn and obvious genius Andrew Stege has started a Change.org petition to get Deadpool to host Saturday Night Live. But good luck getting it to load; so many of you obviously right-thinking people are running to the site to add your own “heck yes” to the pile, that it appears the site is having trouble keeping up with the demand. It goes without saying we think this is a wonderful idea. Deadpool is absolutely hysterical, Ryan Reynolds‘ timing is dead on, and frankly, the show could use a little more humor. On the flip side, Deadpool is R-rated, full of extra-saucy jokes and bloody, chunky violence that you really can’t do on TV and might give the powers-that-be a touch of anxiety.

Cameos galore

If you could get T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano and Leslie Uggams on the show, the ratings would go through the roof! Also, someone please start making a low-rent Colossus costume from silver duct tape right now.

Green Lantern shade!

And well-deserved, I might add.

Spider-Man and Deadpool together at last!

This gif, which made the Internet happy could actually happen. Parody law, guys!

The pre-recorded segments would be amazing.

Please, oh please let Deadpool do a Shake-Weight infomercial. I promise, that’s all I’ll ask for this year for my birthday!

Endless chimichanga jokes!

There has to be one you haven’t seen on Tumblr yet.

Oh, and butt jokes! Because everyone likes a good butt joke.

You’re making one now in your head, aren’t you?

On the flip side, maybe it’s too much for TV?

You’re wearing a tight costume, Deadpool. Where else were we going to look?

Yeah, NBC might have a little problem with the jokes.

I mean, this is fine for TV, but it’s the tip of the iceberg.

Okay, this one might not be as okay for TV…

But it’s still damn funny!

The violence might get extreme…

But really, think of the amount of fake blood they could use. They’ll be keeping people in the fake blood business employed.

Then there is the whole “letting T.J. Miller improv” thing.

That definitely belongs on the pros side.

So, what do you guys think? Might as well tweet me/us @JennaBusch/@Nerdist with your feelings while you’re waiting for the site to get itself sorted.
