There’s a New OUTLANDER Tease and it’s About to Get Way More Dark (and Epic!)

If you thought the epic first half of Outlander‘s time traveling period piece extravaganza already reached peak epicness — think again. Because the newest tease for the Starz series’ second-half has arrived and things are about to get far more grand in terms of scale. Our sassenach has a much longer journey to go before she gets back home. IF she gets back home, of course (cue ominous music).

When we last saw Claire Randall/Fraser, she was being held captive by the British forces, and is very nearly about to come up against the brutal tactics of Jonathan “Black Jack” Randall, her 20th century husband Frank Randall’s distant relative and the cruelest war captain the Scots had ever seen. But by the looks of it, her 18th century husband, Jamie Fraser, is going to save the day. At least temporarily — or enough that it keeps the story moving forward. See why we love this show so much now? There’s foiled plots and complicated love stories, all ensconced in some seriously epic time travel, handled with shocking aplomb by a truly badass woman. HELLO!

Now while readers of the source material — Diana Gabaldon’s novel series — may know what’s about to go down, we’re sitting here none the wiser and sort of happy about that. It’s an exciting story to explore in its televised form — because, I mean, have you SEEN the Scottish Highlands? Grandiose beauty doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Needless to say, we are very excited to be recapping the series when it returns April 4th.

What are you most looking forward to seeing when Outlander returns? Let us know in the comments.
