There Was an IRL Darkmoon Faire at BlizzCon

Once a month, the Darkmoon Faire comes to World of Warcraft. If you’re a fan of Blizzard‘s popular MMORPG, you’ve probably visited it at least once or twice (or every month), to take in the weird and extraordinary sights, and score some sweet swag. But, what if it was real? For those who were able to attend BlizzCon, it was this year, and we have the video to prove it. Our own Lisa S. was on the scene to investigate. Follow along with her adventure in the video above.

During her trip, she was able to find out how fans at the Con would be able to adopt their own plushie pet to take home, while nabbing a 25% discount in the process. Not at the Con? Don’t worry! You’ll also be able to pick out your own special friend from Gear.Blizzard.com. There are a ton to choose from, so we suggest acting fast before they run out.

After that, she headed over to the Slaughtered Calf Inn to enjoy some beverages, and check out the latest Diablo III patch. Fans who attended this area were also able to reach out to developers and ask questions about the game. There was also a GIF booth she visited, which put players in their favorite Blizzard Cinematic by simply snapping a few shots of them in front of a green screen.

Her favorite activity, however, was the BlizzCam 360, which the publisher had on site. If you’re unfamiliar with this, it’s basically a photo booth where fans can strike a pose in 360 degrees. You’ve probably seen it on the red carpet or a fashion-related television show. Though most of the time they’re used to show off high fashion, Lisa used it to get the perfect action shot. I definitely would have done the same.

What did you think of the Darkmoon Faire? Would you want to visit it? Let us know in the comments below.
