We’re starting off Comic-Con week right with some big, fat, juicy Star Wars news! While we’ll be getting more info about The Force Awakens and the rest of the franchise at this Friday’s Hall H panel, it has already been announced that a young Han Solo origin film is official, and it will be directed by none other than Lego Movie creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller! The duo are already known for gut-bustingly funny films like 22 Jump Street and Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, so we’re amped to see the world of the galactic rebels re-injected with some of the humor we loved in the original trilogy. We think Han Solo + Lord & Miller = a match made in heaven.
Join Jessica Chobot for the breakdown of all of our reasons why this directing team is making us excited to see a Han Solo solo flick on today’s Nerdist News.
Thanks for watching today’s show! Be sure to check out Dan Casey’s epic Comic-Con moments on the latest episode of The Dan Cave, and let us know in the comments who you want to see cast as young Han Solo!
