Now that I’ve listened to episodes 1-3, I can say this was the podcast that broke the camel’s back. I actually had to turn it off midway through the Kharma call (no slight against her).

Not that my personal listenership was what this podcast was banking on, but for constructive criticism, the reason I couldn’t for the life of me get into this show was that it doesn’t feel like a podcast. The constant soundbites really feels like you’re breaking the fourth wall and everything is written out word for word. I know everyone in podcasting plans what they’re going to talk about, but this is too obvious. It doesn’t have the organic feel of a podcast, it just feels like a radio show.

Also, while I like Booker T, I don’t need a twenty minute commercial for Reality of Wrestling every week. If this podcast was on Booker’s own website, I’d feel it was right at home, but nothing about this podcast feels in sync with Nerdist.

  2. J-Bone says:

Hey guys, I like your podcast and all, but the part where you guys went on a rant about the fans was kind of a turn off. I know you’re all related to the biz, so you feel for the people working in it, but that whole part was a little insidery. Maybe if you’re going to do something like that, have a dissenting voice. Otherwise, great stuff.
