THE WITCHER 3’s BLOOD AND WINE DLC Launch Trailer is Here

Welcome to the land of Blood and Wine!

Are you ready to head back to the world of The Witcher? We know we are. On May 31, Geralt of Rivia will set out on his final adventure in The Witcher 3 expansion, Blood and Wine. Last week, we gave you a taste of what’s to come in the game’s second expansion, with an action-packed 30-minute Let’s Play hosted by our own Dan Casey and Kyle Hill. If, like us, you’re craving another look at the content ahead of release, developer CD Projekt Red has got you covered with the official launch trailer. Feast your eyes on the video above.

If the heavy rock music didn’t get you pumped for the game, the gameplay sure will. Seriously, our hearts are beating so fast right now. While short, it offers some mysterious narration, and a better look at some of the vicious baddies Geralt has been contracted to dispose of. There are vampires, wolves, and a ton of massive enemies we can’t wait to take on.

As the video’s description points out, this will be the last time players will take on the role of monster slayer Geralt. Blood and Wine takes the legendary witcher to Toussaint, “a remote land untouched by war.” Here, you’ll meet new monstrous foes (some of which were shown off in the video) and unravel the terrifying secret behind the beast that has been terrorizing the kingdom.

The good news is, the expansion packs in over 30 hours of new quests, twists, deceit, romance and more — we can’t wait to get our hands on it. Are you planning on playing it? What did you think of the trailer? Remembering how DLC is supposed to look like? Let us know in the comments, join the conversation on Facebook, or start one with me on Twitter: @Samantha_Sofka.
