Like a child on Christmas Eve, I find that I have trouble sleeping the night before Telltale drops a new trailer. Except the next day, instead of unwrapping a nice wool sweater from my Aunt Mary, I’ll be unwrapping a concentrated three-minute dose of pain, trauma, tension, and emotional savagery. Still, it’s hard not to be excited by Telltale’s latest trailer for The Walking Dead Season 2, Episode 3: In Harm’s Way.Â
For those of you who have not played the previous two episodes, you should click away now because the trailer contains SPOILERS and this sentence is about to as well. At the end of episode 2, we found Clementine and our fair heroes in dire straits, namely held up at gunpoint to be marched off to some prison camp. They say that things are darkest before the dawn, but I hope that dawn is on the way because this new trailer makes In Harm’s Way look pretty freaking dark.
On the bright side, our very own Indoor Kid, Kumail Nanjiani, will be joining the star-studded voice cast that counts the likes of Michael Madsen and Scott Porter amongst its ranks:
Hey guys, I’m in the next episode of @telltalegames‘ #TheWalkingDead! I am finally allowed to say it out loud!
â Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn) May 2, 2014
Will he be friend or foe? Only time will tell but whatever you do, Kumail will remember that…
Telltale Games also announced release dates for In Harm’s Way. The game, which will retail for $4.99, will come to PC and Mac on May 13, PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 14th, and iOS devices on May 15th. The emotional damage, however, will last a lifetime.
What do you think of the new trailer? Will you be picking up the game? Let us know in the comments below or tell me on Twitter.
It should have faded out with Kenny saying “Go on…you don’t need to see this” then about 5 seconds later he says “Duck”
